HERBAL GARDEN

The department of Drauyaguna is maintaining an excellent herbal garden consisting of numerous medicinal plants which are used for preparing medicines.

COLLEGE LIBRARY

IIAMR provides a well-equipped library with a collection of both classic and modern works of Indian medicine. The periodical collection consists of 40 current subscriptions on Ayurveda, nutrition, conventional medicine, journals on research and current advances in Ayurveda from various Universities.

During the academic year, Library is open from Monday to Saturday. Library material is readily accessible to all students, faculty and other doctors of the Institution.

In addition to main collection, library maintains subscription to various journals, a reference collection, audio visual collection that include audio tapes on Yoga, Ayurveda and CDROMS on medicine, Ayurveda, yoga and herbal drugs and video cassettes on presentation of rare cases by various prominent practitioners presented at many seminars. The library is computerized and connected to Internet to browse latest information on medicine.

AUDIO VISUAL DEPARTMENT

This department is well equipped with Overhead projectors, slide projectors, Television, Video Recorder and audio recording equipment for providing information on rare plants, rare clinical cases and audio tapes of speeches of eminent personalities.

COMPUTER CENTRE

The college has a well equipped computer centre preserving the manuscripts in floppies. The centre is used by all departments, as a result, teaching becomes more effective and students have access to the latest developments in their field. Some of the medical subjects are taught with the assistance of computer - like Anatomy using CD-ROM.

RESEARCH WING

The institute has got a research department led by senior research scholars. The department plans to document important texts on Ayurueda, edit and publish manuscripts on Ayurveda and Ayuruedic journals, apart from doing research on folk medicine.

Currently the Department of General medicine is conducting research on Leukoderma, Psoriasis, Arthritis, Diabetes Mellitus, Hepatitis-B etc.

PHARMACY

The college maintains a pharmacy where different kinds of Ayuruedic medicines are prepared.

HOSTEL

There are separate hostels for boys and girls maintained by respective wardens which are located near the College Campus

SPORTS

The Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine & Research has got infrastructure for the overall development of the personality of students. The Institute has a sprawling sports ground where students are encouraged for playing games such as hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, baseball and other disciplines. Physical culture instructors and coaches are there to train students in various sport disciplines.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In order to encourage the various talents of the students, they are provided with all opportunities to take part in various cultural activities like music, drama, debate, quiz, etc., in college and at inter collegiate levels.

CANTEEN

The college canteen caters to the students with both vegetarian and non vegetarian preferences.
