Academics & Faculty : The college lectures begin from 9.30 am and end at 5.30 pm. Each lecture has the duration of approximately 50 minutes. The lunch starts at 1.40 pm and is also of 50 minutes. The overall quality of the teaching staff is good and every professor is well versed with their subject. Their technical knowledge is good but the help beyond the lectures varies. The method for teaching is the classic, whiteboard, assignments and lab methods. Some professors go an extra mile and prepare video lectures or presentations for the whole class for better understanding. Overall experience in terms of teaching is good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : IEC college accepts candidates on the basis of their score in UPSEE exam. I gave the UPSEE exam and cleared the cut off for this college. After that, I had to go through a number of counselling and document verification sessions to get admission in my desired stream. The college also accepts direct admissions by paying a certain extra amount. You must fulfill the criteria of minimum 50% score in your board exams to qualify for this.

Placements & Internships : I got very little help from my college authorities in getting internship opportunities. The faculty is helpful if you need individual guidance on your internships but other than that the college doesn't help out in the internships. It is compulsory for you to do internships in your fifth semester during the Btech course. You can apply for those on your own. In terms of placements IEC has a dedicated placement cell and a decent number of companies visit once the placement season starts in the fourth year. Companies like TCS, Google, Cisco, Indian airforce, Amazon and Tech mahindra visited the college premises for hiring but the number of candidates that get hired in good firms was very less. You have a better chance in getting hired in lesser known firms that visit the campus during the placement season. IEC also has a alumni network created recently called IECAlmaConnect where the alumni keep posting job openings.

Fees & Scholarships : IEC Group of Institutions, Greater Noida Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 90,000 per year.  The student whose annual family income is less than 5LPA can apply for a scholarship on the UPTU website and the scholarship will be given on the basis of that and the reservations.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are two hostels in the college. The girls hostel is inside the premises and the boys hostel is on a walking distance of 1km from the college. PG's and flats are easily available around the college and at very affordable costs. The PG cost with food starts from 5k to 7k and the flat range goes from 12-15k for a room. As there are residential places around the college, most of them are given to students on rent. The college in itself does not provide any food to non- hostel students but one can buy a few snacks from its canteens. It has two coffee parlours and one canteen. The quality of classrooms is clean and avarage. They are maintained well but the college infrastructure is not that good. There is a problem for water coolers in summers. The library is good but it has non availability of books many times. There are no fictional columns as it is a technical college. There is a WIFI in college but the password is not shared openly. One has to ask the lab staff for it. The range and speed is not very good. The greenery around the college is well maintained but the building is always under construction at some places.

Clubs & Associations : There are no permanent socieities on campus but you can participate in several clubs as per your interest during college fests and tech meets. The colleeg sends its students to IIT kharagpur and IIT banaras every year for the IIT technical fest TechKRiti. Students with interest in Robotics, R&D and gaming can participate in these. Apart from that there is an annual fest called INNOVISION organised in the college. The students can participate in cultural and technical activities as participants as well as coordinators on voluntary basis.
