Hidyatullah National Law University, Raipur was established in 2003 by the Government of Chattisgarh under the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh. It is a residential university and is ranked 6th among the National Law Schools in India. HNLU campus is equipped with a library having law books, case law reports, journals and internet connectivity for students. The university has a Laboratory named moot court hall for the students to test their Advocacy skills.

The University trains and prepares students in the field of Legal education with high moral and ethical values. The University 's aim is to facilitate research and training to help in the development of the nation. The University is equipped with good infrastructure. The Government of Chattisgarh has allocated enough land for its development. The Government of Chattisgarh is also helping in the construction of a new building.
