Scholarships:- 

We admit students only on merit basis. To encourage our students, we award a host of merit certificates for excellence in Academics, Extracurricular activities, Sports, NCC and NSS. Most of them have been instituted in the name of various distinctive persons who have been associated with the college.

Many Cash Prizes, Merit Certificates and Awards are awarded: 

1. The Wagh-Bakri All-Rounder of the Year Cash Award for Rs.10,000/- and a Citation.
   
   Eligibility Criteria
   a)   All T.Y.B.Com (i.e Sem VI) students who have studied in HLCC at FYBCom and SYBCom (i.e. Sem-I to Sem-V) are eligible for the award.
   b)  The award will be given on the basis of the performance of the students in Academics, Cultural and Sports Activities during the three years that he has been the student of HLCC.
   c)   The student should have secured an aggregate 1st class at the FYBCom and SYBCom (i.e. Sem-I to Sem-V) Final Exams.
   d)   For Cultural and Sports Activities points will be allotted for participation (based on selection at college level) and / or winning in various competitions at the inter-college, inter-zonal and inter-university levels according to pre-decided criteria (Annexure – I)
   e)   For Academic performance points will be allotted on subject wise or aggregate highest marks (Annexure-I)
   f)    Class attendance and regularity of the student will be considered as per the committee’s discretion. 
2. The C.C.Gandhi Trophy for Excellence in Academics and Cultural Activities.

Eligibility Criteria
The C.C. Gandhi Trophy is awarded every year to a Third BCom (Sem-VI) student having the most distinctive academic, intellectual and cultural achievement during the three years of undergraduate study at the college based on pre-decided criteria. 

3. Shri Rambhai Nathabhai Amin Cash Prize

A cash prize of Rs.7000/- each, is given to the top rank holders of FY(Sem-I &
Sem-II), SY(Sem-III & Sem-IV) and TYB.Com(Sem-V & Sem-VI) at the University Examination (Internal + External).

F.Y., S.Y.  and T.Y.B.COM. – Topper(Highest Total Marks) &  students getting highest marks per subjects in Final Exam. Clause: of this prize :

Certificates and token cash prize for students who have scored the highest aggregate marks in all the subjects and the highest aggregate in individual subjects at the FY(Sem-I & Sem-II), SY(Sem-III & Sem-IV) and TYBCom(Sem-V & Sem-VI), Gujarat University Examinations. 

4. Late Prin. S.V.Desai Medal: is awarded to the FY(Sem-I & Sem-II),SY(Sem-III & Sem-IV)  & TY BCom(Sem-V & Sem-VI) students for getting highest marks at the Gujarat University exams. 

5. Shri Kantilal Patel Charitable Trust (Gold Plated Medal)

For scoring highest external marks in Advanced Accounting and Auditing at TYBCom(Sem-V & Sem-VI), Gujarat University Examination. 

6.Shri Dhirubhai Bhalabhai Charitable Trust(Gold Plated Medal)

For scoring highest external marks in Advanced Accounting and Auditing at TYBCom(Sem-V & Sem-VI), Gujarat University Examination. 

7.DR. R. L. SANGHAVI PRIZE IN ECONOMICS: H. L. College Alumni Association has donated a handsome amount for instituting one prize in  each year in the subject of Economics. 

8.Prof. R.D.Vasavda Prizes in Commercial Communication & English

Smt. Niranjana R. Vasavada has donated a handsome amount for instituting prizes for students who score the highest marks in English and Commercial Communication subjects in FYBCOM (Sem-I & Sem-II), SYBCOM
(Sem-III & Sem-IV) and TYBCOM (Sem-V & Sem-VI). 

9.Late Miss Kalyani Desai Merit Scholarship :

Miss Kalyani Desai. a SYBCom student, passed away in 1992, her family has donated a fund and instituted scholarships in her name to be awarded for two years to top rankers in FYBCom(Sem-I & Sem-II). (one girl and one  boy.) 

10.PROF. P. A. TRIVEDI PRIZES IN TAXATION

Prof. P. A. Trivedi, has donated a handsome amount for instituting two prizes in the subject of Taxation. 

11. SMS Padmavatiben Manubhai D. Zaveri Scholarship Fund

Cash prize for scoring highest external marks in Advanced Accounting and Auditing at TYBCom (Sem-V & Sem-VI), Gujarat University Examination. 

12.LATE PROF. S.S.DESAI PRIZE IN BUSINESS LAWS

Smt. Tarinee S. Desai has donated a handsome amount for instituting two prizes in the subject of Business Laws. 

13.PROF. R. V. CHAVDA CASH PRIZE

This prize is given to the student who secures the highest external marks in Business Statistics at the TYBCom (SemV & Sem-VI) University Examination.
