About Government Institute of Fine Arts, Dhar

By the inspiration of king of Dhar state and under the guidance of Late Shri Dr. Raghunath Rao Phadke this institute was established in the year 24 Nov 1939.  It was affiliated with Sir J.J. School of arts, Mumbai. Since 1960, the Diploma Course of National Council of teaching education had been taught here. Since 1988. After Getting affiliated with Indira Kala Sangeet University Khairagarh Dist. Rajnadgaon (C.G.) the degree of B.F.A in Painting (Bachelor of Fine Art) is being provided to the students. Presently Govt. Fine Art College (Institution) is working under the Higher Education of MP Government (Since 2002).

Nationally famous artist & sculpturist Late Shri Dr. Raghunath Rao Phadke studio is still situated at Dhar, which has made the environment of Dhar very artistic, and govt. fine art institute often utilizes benefit of this. Peaceful as well as beautiful environ of Dhar is Perfect for studying Arts.

Fees :-

Teaching Fee  (Half for Girls)

I year 5.00 Per month
II, III, & IV year 10.00 Per month

Other charges (same for all courses)

Composition Fee 5.00 Per month
Caution money 50.00 (Once)
I-Card 5.00(Every Year)

Note: -

  1. Teaching and composition fee should be deposited for the complete session i.e.12 months in two installment or full at a time.
  2. First session is from July to December and second session is from January to June.
  3. Caution money has to be deposited at the time of admission only.

Examination

  1. As per Indira Kala Sangeet University rules
  2. Information related to examination dispatched time to time an institute’s information bulletin board.

Scholarship :-

  1. According to the rule of Govt. Trivial welfare department to SC/ST student s the scholarship will be given per month on the basis of their yearly income as decided by he govt. when application for such is given.
  2. According to the rules of Govt. trivial welfare department the OBC student will get monthly scholarship on the basis of their yearly income as per govt. rule.
  3. Student of general category can get the scholarship of Rs 40/-per month. If they have passed 12th with first division.
