College timings - 9 am to 5 pm. And 1 hour of lunch break between 1 pm to 2pm. 


Each and every festivals are celebrated in these college. All the students together manage all the festivals and its a fun to be a part of that.

History of Government Dental College and Hospital

Government Dental College and Hospital is one of the best Government institute in Gujarat state. It is the only academic government  dental institute in the region of Saurastra and kutch, which is committed to provide dental health care par excellence at reasonable cost for  the majority of the population of  developing rural areas which bares the total population around 1.5 to 2 crore.

 It was the object of promoting habitation in the area and also to provide quality dental care, that Govt. Dental College and Hospital was established by Govt. of Gujarat 21 years back, affiliated with Saurastra University. Hence this institute is purely granted by government.

It is expanded in the area of around 2 Acre and infrastructure wise this institute is very well planned and maintained. Location wise this institute is at the heart of the town and easily approachable. Currently we are having undergraduate seats out of which 85% are fulfilled by state merit and 15% by all India merit system. The seat expansion is under process since last three years. The postgraduate programme is also under process.

  • The hostel premises also include food court and specific areas for sports and other recreational activities.
  • This institute is also collaborated with M. P. Shah Medical College & Guru Gobindsingh Hospital (with 1400 bed capacity & 225 students per year) run by Govt. of Gujarat.

Application Eligibility criteria

  • Candidate must have passed/appeared for the Qualifying Degree Examination and secured the prescribed Minimum Marks in the Subject(s)/course(s)concerned as mentioned in the Brochure. and
  • Candidate must have qualified at the common Entrance Test conducted by the University in the Academic year for which admission is sought. For administrative reasons, the University may conduct the entrance test before the publication of the results of the qualifying degree examination concerned. But qualifying at the Entrance Test alone does not confer a right of admission into a course. In addition to being qualified at the common Entrance Test, a candidate will be eligible for admission only if he/she passes the qualifying degree examination before the commencement of counseling for admission and secures the prescribed minimum marks in the subject(s)/course(s) concerned. He/She must submit the necessary documents at the time of counseling.
