Scholarships – Awards :-

Two kinds of scholarships i.e. Govt. and Private scholarships are given to students. Punjab Govt. is providing scholarships to SC and BC students. Besides it, Merit and National Scholarships are also provided. Apart from Govt. Scholarships, Nine private scholarships are sponsored by the former faculty members, Alumni and some philanthropists to the students.

Details of Awards/Scholarships:

1.Sh. Satya Dev Vidyalankar Scholarship:-(Personal)

This scholarship was started by the Mrs. Aparjita Kumari (Ex-Principalof the college) in memory of her late father from the academic year 2000-01. Its amount is Rs. 1200/- per annum and selection of students will be besed on merit  cum means from class B.Com-I.

II. Sh. Mahadev Prashad Memorial Scholarship:-

This Scholarship which is of Rs. 1100/- was started by Sh. K.K. Saxena (Ex-Principal) from the 2002-03. Selection of the students is based on merit in M.Com.-I and it is evaluated from following  four papers:-

Financial Accounting
Corporate Accounting
Cost Accounting
Management accounting

III. Deepak Sonia Jindal Memorial Scholarship:-

This scholarship is started from 2004-2005 by Shri Surinder Jindal in the memory of his late son & daughter-in-law. This scholarship of Rs. 5000/- is given to those students who stand first in B.Com. & M.Com.

IV. Punjab Govt. College Retired Teachers welfare Association Scholarship:

This Scholarship is sponsorred by Punjab Govt. college Retired Teachers Association. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 1000/- per month.

V. Sadbhavana Hospital Scholarship:-

This scholarship is started by Dr. Sudhir Verma of Sadbhavana Hospital for the education of poor & brilliant students of  B.Com-I every year by the Bikram Alumni and it continues for three years.

VI. Deepak Sonia Jindal Sports Scholarship:-

This scholarship of Rs. 500 each is given to the best athletes selected among boys & girls respectively on the Annual Sports day function.
