Forest Research Institute M.Sc (Forestry) Fees

Students who wish to pursue Forest Research Institute M.Sc (Forestry) must fulfill the minimum eligibilty criteria as mentioned below. .

Completed Bachelors	Must have a Bachelor's degree in Science from a recognized university

College provides seat-reservation for scheduled caste/ tribes/ OBC. 15 percent of the total available seats for scheduled castes and 7-7.5 percent for scheduled tribe candidates.
M.Sc (Forestry): Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of the subjects- Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry.
M.Sc (Wood Science & Technology): Bachelor’s degree with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or B.Sc. degree in Forestry.
M.Sc (Environment Management): Three years Bachelor’s degree in any streams of Basic or Applied Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Agriculture or BE in Environment Science.
Hostel fees for double occupancy is 6000 and single occupancy is 8400 per year

Forest Research Institute [FRI] (Deemed) University provides semester-wise scholarship on merit basis to the topper students in each course.

The scholarship upto Rs. 11,000 is awarded to students on merit basis for each semester.
The result of the entrance test is considered while awarding scholarships in the first semester. The topper in general category and SC/ST category are awarded the scholarship in each course.

The minimum qualifying marks for allowing candidate in appearing in the written test shall be 50 percent in aggregate at B.Sc. level/M.Sc. level prescribed for admission to the different courses in respect of general category candidates and 45 percent aggregate in respect of SC/ST candidate.
Candidate shall be selected on merit basis of the total marks secured at the written test provided they have secured the minimum qualifying marks i.e. 15% in case of general candidate whereas in the case of SC/ST admission shall be made as per Govt. of India Rules.
