Dr Dadasaheb Ambedkar Technology University (DBATU), Lonere, was established in 1989 by the Government of Maharashtra. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctorate, diploma and certification courses in engineering, technology, and nursing. DBATU fee for its programs are:
- The B. Tech fees is INR 83,3880 for the first year.
- The M.Tech fees is INR 92,680 for the first year.
- The Diploma in Engineering course fee is INR 13,830 for the first year.

DBATU offers full-time programs and part-time programs for the students. Apart from the full-time courses, it provides diploma courses in eight streams of engineering and technology. The university offers education for the dropouts through a governmental scheme of "Community Polytechnic" and empowering them with technical skills.
