Deshbandhu College was established by the Ministry of Rehabilitation, in the memory of Late Lala Deshbandhu Gupta - a veteran freedom fighter. Now the college has 18 Undergraduate and 7 Postgraduate programs in the field of Arts, Science, and Commerce The college offers Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce stream.

Deshbandhu College Entrance Exam

Deshbandhu College has now started with the new rule and the admissions for UG will be done on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in their CUCET 2025 and for PG Courses admission will be taken up on the basis of DUET.

Deshbandhu College UG Admissions Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for UG courses at Deshbandhu College is

• For BA Hons, General and other specializations in BA candidates should have passed 10+2  with a minimum of 40-45% marks in any the required stream to be eligible for the course to apply.
• For BSc Hons, General and other specializations in BSc candidates should have passed 10+2  with a minimum of 45-55% marks in any of the required streams to be eligible for the course to apply.
• For BCom Hons candidates should have passed 10+2  with a minimum of 45% marks in any of the required streams to be eligible for the course to apply.

Deshbandhu College PG Admission

Deshbandhu College PG admission procedure is based on both merit and entrance exam- DUET. Merit-based admissions are offered only to DU graduates. As per the Deshbandhu College PG admission procedure, 45% of seats are filled via entrance exam mode and the other 50% are based on the merit of the qualifying exam (DU graduates). Deshbandhu College is offering Master’s Programmes for admission 2025. Some of the courses offer specializations in different departments that are given in the table below

• For MA, MSc, and MCom candidates must have three years of Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with at least 55% in their graduation.

Candidates meeting the requirements must fill out the form on the official website

• Step1- Candidates have to enroll themselves on the common application portal.
• Step2- After the Registration, candidates can begin to fill out the online form using their credentials.
• Step3- The application form then should be submitted online and take a print of it.
• Step4- After the cut-off lists are announced the eligible candidates are required to fill out the Deshbandhu College Pre-Admission Form before they can be admitted to the college. This form will be availed at the time of admission at the college counter.
