LIBRARY

The University Library was started in Kalsia House with Sanskrit books and later on continues to be housed at two places i.e the main library in the College of Education and Indic Studies Section in the top floor of the Administrative Block.

The foundation stone of the present building was laid down on 17th July, 1967 by the then Chief Minister Rao Virender Singh and ultimately library was shifted in its new building in July 18, 1972 having plinth area 33000 Sq ft in three storeys’ Later on during 1984-85 due to shortage of space the building was extended and presently has plinth area 49230 sq. ft. 

            In order to provide adequate reading space  57500 sq ft. area was added in the golden jubilee year of the university. This reading area now known as  Golden Jubilee Reading Hall. After adding this library has area of 1,06,730 sq ft. Library reading capacity has increased from 470 users to 1270 users. Library has 1270 reading seat capacity.

COMPUTER CENTRE

Computer Centre has two labs. with some 50 odd Pentiums alongwith Printers etc.Computer Centre has three major types of activities:

  • Effecting purchase of Computers and allied items for various departments/offices of the University. This includes tendering,negotiations, ordering and other associated jobs.

  • Co-ordinating two one-year courses, Post-Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications and Certificate Course in Computer Applications for the Directorate of Distance Education. This includes lesson-preparation, organizing Contact Programs and other related activities. PGDCA is immensely popular as the course is having intake of thousands every year.

HEALTH CENTRE

The University Health Centre looks after the Medical needs of the student, staff and their families of the campus. Medicines are given in the University Health Centre round the clock. Homeopathic medicines are also given in the Health Centre. Complete Physiotherapy Unit, Computerised ECG, EEG and Spirometry, X-Ray Ambulance facilities, laboratories facilities with Auto Analyser etc. Ultrasound and Dental facilities are available in the University Health Centre.
