There are no hostels in our college because this college is located in the center of the city so there is no need of hostels. The food of the canteen is good and there is a variety of food available in canteen. There are many restaurants near by this college where you will get to have a delicious meal. Overall infrastructure is good, the labs and the classrooms are fully air conditioned and in good condition. There is one library where you will find all the books related to the courses.
I don't know much about the hostel facility and PG's on our campus. Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls is good and we have wifi facility.
The goal of DAVIM to develop the student as a whole is supported with an exceptional infrastructure and latest technology. The campus is fully Wi-Fi, which works as a back-end support to Institute’s efforts to provide an effective learning environment. To keep pace with the rapidly changing environment the institute has provided the faculty members and students with Laptops. Classrooms at DAVIM are fully loaded with the latest teaching aids. The entire campus is connected by a state-of-art network with almost 600 nodes. High-speed servers running on a variety of platforms to suit all kinds of requirements support the entire network. This connectivity helps both students and faculty considerably in their research and projects. The institute’s has got an Auditorium “Tarang” with a capacity of 350 and a Conference Hall “Yojana” for Seminars, Discussions and Cultural Events.
“Gyan Ganga” – The Library
To provide the students with an insight to knowledge, the Institute’s library “Gyan Ganga” serves as an invaluable resource with its modern collection of information resources and innovative information services plays a vital role in the intellectual pursuits of DAVIM’s academic community. DAVIM has a fully computerized library. To help students reach the pinnacle of excellence in their particular field of study, library holds a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, CDs, e-journals, case studies, training manuals, etc.
Books: Includes over 50,000 books in the area of management and allied topics. Around 2,000 new books are added to the collection every year.
Journals: Library subscribes to over 120 print journals. Besides these, there are around 8,000 e-journals made available through various online databases.
Training Videos: Library maintains a selective collection of CDs which include training videos and educational films.
Reading Rooms: A spacious and comfortable reference section with an ample seating arrangement is the joy of a student who would like to study, refer to, read or just flip through the cornucopia of literature.
Electronic Library: The e-library provides a single-window access to all the electronic resources subscribed by the Library. Efforts are on to develop a world-class online library system in the area of business related information. Subscribed e-libraries offer DAVIM academic community access to up-to-date, relevant business and management information available on their desktops. The library staff is there to be the guide and counselor for all queries regarding books and the library facilities.
DAVIM with its Two Post Graduate Departments, a Department for under graduate programmes and Department for professional studies offering Management, IT and professional programmes is supported by 10 different computer labs hoisting about 600 systems in all.
With the introduction of a number of revised and restructured courses, computers have become an integral part of the undergraduate/ post graduate college curriculum. These labs have been designed to provide students an opportunity for hands-on training and enhancing computer skills.
WI-FI NETWORKING at DAVIM CAMPUS
To provide flexibility & convenience in access to the network facilities, students and faculty are facilitated with the Wi-Fi enabled campus.
Advance lab, a lab with high-end equipment and latest software, is also available for career-intensive and specialized education after regular class hours.
“Tarang” Auditorium and “Yojna” Hall
The institute has its Auditorium “Tarang” with a flexi seating capacity of up to 350 and a conference room “Yojna” that can seat up to 30 people. Both the resources are fully air-conditioned and are equipped with latest audio – visual apparatuses. All the Seminars, training programmes, cultural events and annual academic events are hosted at “Tarang” and “Yojna”.
