Canteen

A variety of hygienic food & snack items which includes Cakes, Fresh Juices, Chinese Food, Meals, Variety Rice, Ice Creams, etc. are served at a nominal rate. It is mainly used by the students and staff. Separate common rooms for boys and girls and staff are available.

Medical Center

Medical facilities are available on campus through a full time medical officer who is available during the college working hours.

Transport

The College has 11 luxurious buses. The routes for the buses are organized so that students from all parts of the city can easily approach the college. The facility is made available to the students at reasonable charges depending upon the routes opted by them.

Hostel

Separate spacious and modern hostels are available for both boys and girls. The hostel environment is highly conductive for academic pursuit and happy living. A separate dining hall complex is available for students with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food served on dividing rate basis. Facilities like indoor games, Internet facility, Meditation hall, gym, television room, recreation rooms with dailies, sports/technical magazines,etc.,are also available.

To cope up with modern trends and globalization, the language lab is provided to improve the soft skills of the students to evaluate them to meet the competition of the modern world.

LIBRARY

The College possesses a separate area for the library services with a carpet area of 402Sq.m. The library houses separate sections for General, Reference, Periodicals and catalogues. Facilities like OPAC, Discussion Room and Video room are also housed inside the area. The students have access to 6255 books in all the subjects of Engineering as well as on subjects like Management, General Science, and Sports etc. Indian journals are available. The students also have a spacious reading room to carry out their reference work. The library has 2 qualified, pleasant mannered and committed staff, Headed by the Librarian Mr. M. Ganesamoorthy.

Digital Library

The Digital Library is equipped with 10 Multi-Media systems, Dell T110 Server with one Terabyte Storage Capacity and more than 750 CDs/DVDs in all topics with a free hand access to all the students. It is one of the key facilities available with which the students & faculty are exposed to the state-of-the-art technologies in the field of Engineering & Science. The Digital Library provides access to the DELNET,NPTEL and also libraries of the leading Professional societies.

SPORTS

The history of sports in India is very ancient and dates back to the Vedic era. It is more likely that many of today's Olympic disciplines are advanced versions of games of strength and speed that flourished in ancient India. Chess, wrestling, polo, archery and hockey (possibly a fall-out from polo) are some of the games believed to have originated in India. We in Cheran college of Engineering provide excellent sports facilities for our students under the supervision of well experienced and qualified Physical Director.
