21st Century belongs to “the era of Web information” as the Internet plays an essential role in today’s life. The need and importance of Internet in the field of education is supported by round the clock high speed Internet connectivity of 105Mbps 1:1 and has strong backbone of dedicated OFC link throughout the campus with the help of which the students can surf the Web. Thus, they can enhance their knowledge as well as extract unlimited e-Information.

Spacious e-classrooms with excellent ambience and modern teaching aids like LCD, NPTEL video courses, multi media projectors, etc. are made available to the students. E-classrooms also act as a medium for conducting seminars, technical quizzes and paper presentation contests.

Our College possesses well equipped workshops and following labs which helps student to understand the practical concepts and explore their knowledge according to their specific fields. CEC Landran possesses various labs of different department like:-

Library & E Journals

CEC has computerized libraries. To encourage research activities and advanced reading, our libraries have memberships of 10 e-journals (including renowned publishers like IEEE, Elsevier Science Direct, Tata Mc-Graw Hill, ASTM-DL, Gale Cengage etc.) and databases of ASME, IEEE and ACM. This gives access to students to access articles, books, and reference material online.

The libraries have 125 web-based courses through NPTEL and 136 video courses prepared by the faculty of IITs and other leading institutions of India. These courses are taught over the Internet. The central library is computerized and is stocked with more than 40,000 books on the variety of subjects. The intake of books is a regular feature in the library and no important title related to any course is missed.

Journals and other Collection in Library

In addition to the course books the library includes various books and journal which helps student to increase the knowledge through current affairs

• The library subscribes to national and international subject journals, magazines of current interest along with national and regional dailies to keep the students abreast with the day to day happenings around the world and their fields of study.

Sports

With a view to develop the all round personality of the students, CEC landran- best college of Punjab and Chandigarh emphasizes on sports as well. It is the constant endeavor of the college to make students grow intellectually as well as physically. The students of the CEC regularly participate in inter-collegiate tournaments in various sports and games events both within the campus and outside the campus and win several prizes.

The Physical Education Department of the College regularly organizes Inter Collegiate competitions in various sports events and Inter College Tournaments in games. These competitions and tournaments are recognized by the affiliating Universities and involvement of students from many colleges are encouraged.

Gymnasium

Keeping in mind the health and fitness of our students and employees, CEC provides a state-of-the-art gymnasium fully-equipped with the latest equipment within the campus. Instructors and trainers are available throughout the day to train the students.

Subway & CCD

The cafeteria of CEC has turn out to be healthier, tastier and more nutritious with the introduction of “Subway”, which is well known for fresh and healthy meals. This fully air-conditioned outlet can easily accommodate over 50 people.

With Subway and Café Coffee Day at campus, students of CGC will now be able to pacify their taste-buds with food/beverages options of their choice, of course. We ensure that students won’t need to miss that home cooking food while living on campus.

Canteen & Cafeterias

Chandigarh Engineering College has the facility of a spacious and clean canteen that caters to the taste of all students. Canteen can conveniently accommodate 500 students at a time, functioning in the campus. The canteen and cafeteria is equipped with modern furniture and electrical automatic cooking and storing facilities, which provides hot lunch, snacks and beverages both to the students and staff at reasonable rates.

Banking Facilities

An in-house computerized Punjab National Bank is functioning within campus premises. The ATM of the Punjab National Bank (PNB) and State Bank of India (SBI) is in-housed which provide round the clock banking services in the college. This facility can be availed by the students and staff of the college. On enrollment, every student can open an account with bank and can make full use of banking services, Internet Banking and A.T.M. facilities.

Hostels

We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe residential facility within the campus. CEC offers separate magnificent hostels for boys and girls with a warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management.

Dispensary

In order to provide round the clock medical facilities to the students, dispensary is created at the campus that attends to unforeseen medical emergencies. CEC possesses a fully fledged medical dispensary under the supervision of well qualified and experienced doctors as well as nurses. Salient features in this regard are:-

• 24 hour medical care availability.
• Free medicines to students & staff from the college dispensary.
• CEC has a tie up with surrounding hospitals including Fortis Hospital Mohali, Sohana Hospital, Ivy Hospital Mohali, Cosmo Hospital, Mohali etc for concessional consultancy, tests and treatment.
• To deal with emergency cases, college transport is available round the clock to carry the patients for treatment at surrounding hospitals.

Transportation

CEC owns a fleet of luxurious transport buses that pick and drop faculty members/students from different places.

The transport facility is spread across a wide range of areas covering Ropar, Kurali, Kharar, Banur, Rajpura, Mandi Gobindgarh, Khanna, Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bassi Pathan, Samrala, and Ludhiana etc.
