Nivedha Kamatchi

The 2.25 lakhs sq. ft. building area divided into four floors facilitates 40+ labs & 30+ stepped lecture theatres for regular academic proceedings. Supplementing the research and development requirements of these domains this building has Incubation & Innovation Centre and Advanced Research Labs of all the courses. CODE VGU, Jaipur has state of the art campus facilities. Some of the facilities offered at CODE VGU are mentioned below.

Lecture Halls

• The department consists of well-ventilated lecture halls that create the perfect learning environment.
• The unique architecture of these classrooms allows for spaces where students can indulge in interactive learning.

Studio Spaces

• Having a limited intake of 20 students in Design and 40 students in Architecture allows each student gets their own space where student can work individually as well as in group to perform academically as well as professional project assignments.

Exhibition Hall

• There is an ample amount of space to display students’ work where, each semester, students get a chance to showcase their best products/ work and explain to the visitors/ industry experts.

Pantry

• CODE has its own small pantry where students and faculties can make their own snacks, food, tea, coffee, etc. whenever they need.
• Pantry consists of a microwave, refrigerator, induction stove, and all utensils so that students can feel at home while working on campus.

Brickyard

• Brickyard is an interesting open space, which is prepared by the students; for informal interactions amongst students, faculties, visitors or professionals, and also makes a great spot for our tea and snack parties.

Library

• The central library is a state of art building attached to the administrative & academic block of the university building.
• The two-floor library spreads out in 10,000 sq. ft. space houses around 12,500 books in hard copy divided in various sections, separate reference section, digital section housing 20 computers, reprography section, periodicals & journal section.
• The central library takes care of the library requirements of Faculties of Sciences, Agriculture, Management & Commerce, apart from regular reading books & novels.
• Architecture Library caters to the need of the Architecture & Design students of the university.
• This library is housed inside the Centre for Design Excellence Block of the University and provides intensive resource material on sustainable design practices as an expert domain of the department.

Auditorium

• Equipped with all modern amenities required for various performing arts the auditorium has a capacity of 550 seats & is fully air-conditioned and acoustics services.
• The auditorium facilitates performances related to dance, music, theatre, drama, movie shows, etc.
• It has all the necessary equipment related to projections, networking, light, sound, etc. with attached green rooms and hospitality facilities.
• In the short span of time, this auditorium has become a cultural hub for Jaipurites & houses almost 75+ events in a year.

Seminar Halls

• All academic blocks of the university have separate seminar halls to facilitate academic requirements of audio-visual lectures, workshops and interactive guest lectures.
• The campus houses 5 such facilities spread across various floors of the two academic blocks.
• These are air-conditioned halls with a different capacity of around 80-150 people, have adequate facilities related to projections, internet, audio and video facility.
• These multi-purpose halls strengthen the capacity of the university to conduct various interdisciplinary activities simultaneously.
• The halls are also utilized for regular staff training and events like conferences, faculty development programs (FDP) and student induction (SIP) events forming the backbone to the varied day to day activities on the campus.

VGU Mess

• The VGU mess has 3 dining halls having the capacity of serving food to 900 students at a time.
• During the day the lunch hours for various departments are segregated to facilitate smooth functioning across all food joints.
• The Mess areas have separate dining rooms for the visitors & guests.
• The university mess serves food four times a day namely breakfast, lunch, evening snacks & dinner.
• The students have a choice to select from two types of menu i.e North India & South Indian cuisine.
• Students can choose the menu for a month.
• Day Scholars can also subscribe for the lunch on monthly basis.

Canteen

• A well-furnished cafeteria and canteen are located in the centre of the campus.
• Hygiene and cleanliness are the two important aspects of the cafeteria.
• Hygienic, Spacious and well-ventilated cafeteria run with a wide range of quality snacks & beverages for both faculty and students.
• Availability of tasty and nutritious food at a reasonable rate is ensured by the institute.
• The cafeteria serves North Indian, Chinese, Italian, Continental, South Indian, Snacks and a variety of Beverages.
• VGU University campus also houses three other food joints run in collaboration with private food and beverages companies.
• These joints serve a variety of juices, tea, coffee, and quick snacks like poha, pasta, and momos catering to the personal needs of all members on the campus.
• The aim of the management is to provide a wide variety to the students and the availability of nutrition-rich food prepared in clean and hygienic conditions.

Singar Boys Hostel

• The on-campus hostel for boys, singar hostel is a well ventilated, well designed, piece of infrastructure with all types of facilities available at the doorstep.
• The hostel has a capacity to accommodate 1500+ students.
• All necessary amenities such as electricity, drinking water are available 24*7.
• Clean and hygienic washrooms, well-maintained gym area, attached balconies and many other features make this hostel one of the best hostels in the city.

Gargi Girls Hostel

• Gargi Girls hostel is the hostel inside the campus specially designed for girls.
• With the capacity of accommodation for more than 1000 girls, the hostel is fully equipped with all kinds of features and amenities a student requires.
• 24*7 security and easy access to college are what makes it safe for all the girls as we all know safety is one of the biggest concerns of parents.
• Rooms are designed with cautions to keep full ventilation, drinking water, tap water and electricity is available 24*7 with hygienic attached washrooms.

Boys AC Hostel

• AC Hostel facility is also available for boys.
• Spacious rooms with attached washrooms and air conditioning experience make it a 5-star experience.
