Bihar Yoga Bharati was established in 1994 along the lines of Nalanda and Vikramshila. It is located in Yoga Vidya Campus in Munger. It is the first institute devoted wholly to the study of yoga. The institute teaches yoga in an ashram environment aiming for both intellectual and experiential learning. They offer certificate courses in yoga and diplomas in yoga.

• The application form must be completed along with the student questionnaire.
• Certificates of a student's educational qualification should be attached.
• Proof of date of birth like a photocopy of valid passport or citizenship document.
• Four additional passport-sized photographs of the student.
• Indian students are required to pay Rs 2000 as a processing charge.
• A self-addressed envelope: stamped for registered mail for Indian nationals, or with an International Reply Coupon for overseas applicants.
• All applicants are required to submit attested copies of the requested documents. But at the time of admission, certified copies or original copies are required.
• A medical certificate is required at the time of registration stating that the student is physically and mentally fit.

Bihar Yoga Bharati Infrastructure

Bihar Yoga Bharati is found at the Yoga Vidya Campus in Munger, Bihar, 175 km from Patna, the capital, and 500 km from Kolkata. The campus is situated on a historical energy centre, Karna Chaura, and is co-located with Ganga Darshan Vishwa Yogpeeth covering an area of 5.5 hectares. The university offers an ashram-like environment for better teaching and learning of yoga. They provide a hostel and library for research.
