Eligibility Criteria at Bharathidasan Institute of Technology, [BIT] Anna University, Tiruchirappalli:

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech:

• Candidate must pass 10+2 from a recognised Board.
• Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate from Higher Senior secondary.
• All SC/ST candidate should have 5% of relaxation.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech:

• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree obtained through their Graduation or an equivalent qualification.
• Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India.
• A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC/ST candidates.

Admission Process for B.Tech, M.Tech:

• Admission to courses is carried out through the single window system of the Anna University.
• Students can choose the courses based upon the state-wise rank calculated by their marks in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Department of Education, Government of TamilNadu.

Reservation:

• Reservations are provided for BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST etc as per the rules of the Government of TamilNadu.
• Reservations are also provided for Physically handicapped / Ex-Service men / Sportspersons / Other state candidates.
