Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT), Banda, established on March 2, 2010, is the first agricultural university in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. Initially named "Manyawar Shri Kanshiram Ji University of Agriculture and Technology," it was renamed in 2014. Created under the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act, the university focuses on advancing agriculture and allied sectors in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Bundelkhand. Admission Process

  • Entrance Exams: Admissions to UG and PG courses are primarily based on UPCATET scores. CUSAT-qualified students are also eligible for M.Sc. programs.
  • Counseling: After qualifying UPCATET, students must attend a counseling session for seat allocation based on scores, preferences, and availability.

Banda University of Agriculture and Technology Library

The Rashtrakavi Maithilisharan Gupt Library at Banda University of Agriculture & Technology (BUAT) supports teaching, research, and extension activities. Established in December 2015 on the ground floor of the College of Agriculture, it will operate there until a dedicated library building is constructed. Managed by two faculty librarians and three support staff, it comprises two reading halls, a book section, a circulation section, a multimedia hall, and an office. Library rules were first implemented in January 2013 and updated in February 2014. The library offers access to textbooks, reference materials, journals, and digital resources. Through OPAC, its collection is available year-round. It also participates in Krishikosh, a collaborative digital repository, offering e-books and theses from BUAT students. The library aids students in preparing research papers and performing plagiarism checks. Its inviting environment includes spaces for group discussions, solo study, and quiet reading, making it a vital resource for academic pursuits.
