AIIMS Jodhpur MBBS Admission 2021

The degree of MBBS in AIIMS Jodhpur has been in existence since 2012 and it mainly follows a disciplinary structure. The course duration is of four and a half years, followed by a compulsory rotatory internship of one year. The course consists of nine semesters, each semester is of six months. And the entire course is divided into three phases: Pre-clinical, Para-clinical, and Clinical Phase.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for MBBS in AIIMS Jodhpur are as follows:

  • Candidates should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as of 31st of December during the year of admission (2021).
  • Candidates should have passed the 12th class under the 10+2 scheme/senior school certificate examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the subject. 
  • Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination, only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks. 
  • If the institute has to consider an examination of an Indian university or of a foreign/university to be equivalent to the 12th class under the 10+2 scheme/intermediate science examination, the candidates shall have to produce a certificate from the concerned Indian university/Association of Indian Universities to the effect that the examination passed by him/her is considered to be equivalent to the 12th class under 10+2 scheme/intermediate science examination.
  • The minimum aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology obtained in the qualifying examination required for appearing in the entrance examination are 60% for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PWBD candidates.
  • Candidates with CGPA grades only will have to apply the conversion factor in the application form. The conversion factor should be approved by their respective examination.
  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 & Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are also eligible to appear in this test and all terms and conditions applicable for Indian Nationals will apply to them. The candidate will submit proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955/NRI to be eligible to appear for this test.
  • Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M.B.B.S. Course.
  • Foreign Nationals are required to contact the Indian Mission/Post abroad in their country and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi for nomination. Foreign candidates nominated by the Government of India are "not" required to appear at the Competitive Entrance Examination.

MBBS Selection Process

AIIMS Jodhpur MBBS selection process is the final phase of the admission process. Based on the NEET cut-off score and minimum marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent, the candidates are selected and chosen for counselling. During counselling, the candidates are selected based on the availability of seats, the number of applicants, and the reservation category.

AIIMS Jodhpur B.Sc Nursing Admission 2021

The degree of B.Sc Nursing in AIIMS Jodhpur has a course duration of four and a half years, followed by a compulsory internship of 6 months.

B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

A candidate is eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination if he/she:

  • Is an Indian citizen
  • Has attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as of the 31st of December of the year of admission (2021).
  • Has passed the 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Senior School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects.

  • For B.Sc. (Hons.) In the nursing course, only female candidates are eligible. (Common to AIIMS New Delhi & other Six AIIMS)
  • Candidates who are to appear in 12th class examination under 10+2 system or an equivalent examination in March/April 2021 and whose results are likely to be declared before 30th June, 2021 are also eligible to apply for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing.
  • Candidates who are due to appear at the qualifying examination, or have already appeared and are awaiting results, can also apply for admission. But such candidates must furnish proof of passing the qualifying examination with the requisite percentage of marks and subjects at the time of counselling failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

B.Sc Nursing Selection Process

AIIMS Jodhpur B.Sc selection process is the final phase of the admission process. Based on the AIIMS B.Sc(Hons) Nursing entrance exam cut-off score and minimum marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent, the candidates are selected and chosen for counselling. The degree of MD in AIIMS Jodhpur has a course duration of three years. The candidates joining the sub-speciality MD sub-speciality degree course shall be called Junior Residents in the Clinical Disciplines and Junior Demonstrators in Basic Clinical Disciplines.

The duration of certified study for the M.Sc. The nursing course shall extend for two academic years. The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed four years.

MSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for MSc Nursing admission in AIIMS Jodhpur are as follows:

AIIMS Jodhpur PhD Admission 2021

The PhD degree, i.e., Doctor of Philosophy course commences in January and July every year. All Vacant seats will be advertised in national dailies in March for the July session and September for the January session. The Last date for the admission process is 28th February for the January session and 31st August for the July session. There shall be no mention of the subject or speciality in the PhD certificate awarded to successful candidates. However, the full title of the thesis will be recorded in the certificate. The duration of the course will be the period from registration to submission of the thesis, i.e., a minimum of three years. However, the maximum period of registration shall not exceed five years.

PhD. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for PhD admission to AIIMS Jodhpur are as follows:

A candidate seeking admission to the PhD program conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur must possess at least one of the following qualification: 

  • A degree of Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences or Laboratory Medicine with at least 60% marks.
  • A degree of Master of Surgery or Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree or Diplomate of the National Board of Examinations.

Requirement for admission of foreign nationals:

  • The foreign nationals are required to send their application through Diplomatic channels. They are also required to appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination along with other candidates.
  • They are required to apply in the prescribed form indicating the choice of the subject (only one subject) for admission to a postgraduate course leading to the award of a PhD degree.
  • No seat is reserved in any discipline for foreign nationals (except for the bilateral agreement between the Government of India and any other nation).

 Fellowship/Post Doctoral Selection Process

AIIMS Jodhpur Fellowship/Post Doctoral selection process is the final phase of the admission process. The candidates selected and chosen must hold an MD/MS postgraduate degree or equivalent from the Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized institute in their respective discipline, with 3 years of teaching experience as a Senior Resident after obtaining the PG degree from an MCI recognized institute/college. Or, candidates can have a DM/M.Ch or equivalent degree from MCI recognized institute.

 AIIMS Jodhpur Admission Process 2021

AIIMS Jodhpur admits students based on the entrance test conducted by it, which is also limited to the availability of several seats. To be eligible to get admission to AIIMS Jodhpur, students need to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), for which application forms are available online. Steps to Apply for AIIMS Jodhpur Admission 

Step 1: Candidates need to access the AIIMS application form from the official website of AIIMS Jodhpur.
