TS EAMCET applications will start on Feb 19, 2026 and will go on till April 04, 2026. That's about a six-week window period, but it is recommended to apply as early as possible to avoid last minute delays and mishaps. What are the Eligibility Criteria to Apply for TS EAMCET 2026?

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for TS EAMCET is that you need to be Indian or a PIO/OCI cardholder. This is important because every year some students apply without checking if they actually qualify, and that's just wasted money and effort. 

The domicile criteria might confuse you sometimes. Either your parents or you need to be living in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh. In short, you should have a Telangana domicile certificate that you will need to furnish at the time of filing the application form. If you moved here recently, make sure your documents prove residency properly.

Age-wise, you should be at least 16 years for engineering and 17 years old for agriculture or veterinary courses. Most students clearing Class 12 automatically meet this criteria, so it's not usually a concern for many students.

With regards to the minimum education requirements, B.Tech/ Engineering degrees will need Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as mandatory subjects in your intermediate. Agriculture and Pharmacy need Biology instead of Maths. 

Here's something to note: you don't need to have already completed Class 12. If you are appearing for your final exam, then you are definitely eligible to apply. This means you can take the entrance exam and your board exams in the same period.

If you did a Diploma from the State Technical Board in Telangana or AP, you're eligible as well.

Percentage requirements exist depending on your category. General category students usually need around 45% in their qualifying exam, while students from the reserved categories need about 40%. These numbers can change slightly, so check the official notification when it comes out.

How will the TS EAMCET Exam Be Conducted?

The entire TS EAMCET 2026 exam will be held in CBT mode (Computer-based test) only. Don’t get overwhelmed, as most students actually prefer CBT mode exams after a couple of practice sessions.

You will be asked 160 questions worth 160 marks. One mark per question, and no negative marking. This changes your strategy completely because random guessing on questions isn't going to hurt your overall scores.

Three hours to finish everything. It may sound tight, but it's doable if you've practiced enough. Students who've done TS EAMCET mock tests under timed-conditions are able to handle and maneuver the paper better.

Language options are English, Telugu, and Urdu. Pick whatever you're comfortable reading fast, because you'll be doing a lot of reading during the exam keeping in mind the time constraints. 

How to Apply for TS EAMCET 2026?

When the registration link gets activated on Feb 19, 2026, here’s what you should do to apply for the TS EAMCET exam 2026:

• Step 1: Go to the website and register with basic details. Screenshot the registration number or write it down and do not lose this number.
• Step 2: Pay the registration fees as per your category.General and OBC candidates pay around Rs. 1,200. SC/ST students pay about Rs. 600. You can pay online with cards or UPI, or go to a TS Online/AP Online center if you prefer doing it in person.
• Step 3: After payment, you need to fill in the detailed form. This part requires concentration so sit down, focus, and fill it properly. Double-check everything before moving to the next section.
• Step 4: You need to upload a scanned copy of your passport photo and your signature. Both in JPEG format with specific size requirements that they mention in the notification. Read those specs carefully. So many applications get rejected just because someone uploaded a 5MB photo when the limit was 50KB.
• Step 5: Before you hit that final submit button, review everything one more time. Once it's submitted, you can't change anything. Print out the completed form and fee receipt. Keep them in a folder with all your other important documents.

TS EAMCET Syllabus 2026

The TS EAMCET syllabus is completely based on your intermediate textbooks. Nothing from outside, no additional books needed for the entrance exam specifically. The trick isn't learning new things. It's about being thorough with what you already know.

How to Prepare for TS EAMCET 2026?

Starting TS EAMCET preparations early makes a massive difference because students who begin serious preparation just two months before usually struggle, not because they're not smart, but because there's simply too much to revise properly.

1. Make a realistic schedule. Don’t plan a study schedule where you study for 14 hours a day and burn out after just three days. Create a schedule like something sustainable that you can actually stick to for months.

2. Mock tests are non-negotiable. They're the only way to build speed and accuracy together. You might know everything, but if you can't finish the paper in time or if you panic seeing unfamiliar question patterns, that knowledge won't help.
3. Make formula sheets for Math and Physics. Quick reference notes that you can revise in 15 minutes. During the exam, you don't want to waste time remembering formulas.
4. Don't just focus on your strong subjects. You might enjoy Chemistry, so you spend extra time on it. But your rank depends on your overall score so spend more time on weaker areas as well.

TS EAMCET Admit Card and Exam Day Instructions

The TS EAMCET admit card usually comes out in the second week of April every year. You can download it from the official site using your registration details.

• Check everything on it the moment you download it, such as your name, photograph, exam centre, etc. These problems need fixing before exam day, not during.
• Carry a printed copy to the exam center. Don't rely on your phone to show a digital copy, printing it out is safer.
• On exam day, reach the center at least 45 minutes early. Traffic, last-minute chaos, finding your centre, these things take time. Plus, you need a few minutes to settle down and get your head in the process.
