Hansjeet Singh Duggal’s nominated 15-minute documentary ‘Gardeners of the Forest’ is depicting Hansjeet’s artistic excellence. It is directed by Ceylan Carhoglu and Nicole Jordan-Webber and is all about the ruthless treatment given to elephants in Thailand. In fact, Thailand’s nearby area ‘Laos’ had a million elephants, but now only a few hundred elephants are left. Hansjeet's film is all about elephant conservation and the dramatic change in the number of these magnificent creatures across our land. Hansjeet, at his photography exhibition, ‘For Love of Dreams: A Show of Aesthetics’, told that while working on various Hollywood projects he has gained an exposure to even those aspects which were never explored by most before, even in Hollywood.
The second nomination, a narrative, is titled as ‘It's Just a Gun’. It is directed by famous film-maker and photographer Brian Robau and shows the life of a Gun, and how it passes from one hand to the other.
