The Fashion Design department of the School of Architecture and Design lately shared in a Fashion Show organized by the World Designing Forum in collaboration with the Agra Development Authority. During the event, the talented scholars of the school showcased their garments, which beautifully portrayed the history of Indian fashion. The show was attended by recognized contrivers and celebrities such as Nehal Chaudasama, Rina Dhaka, and Sabyasachi Satpathy. The fidelity, passion, and hard work of our expiring contrivers from K R Mangalam University were apparent in their mesmerizing collection, inspired by the rich shade of fashion history.
Fashion is an extraordinary art form, reflecting society, culture, and the mortal spirit. It has continuously evolved, blending invention with reverence for its origins, from the lavish styles of ancient societies to the rebellious trends of the 20th century.
On Day 1, the youthful contrivers embarked on an instigative trip, exploring the annals of fashion history and discovering iconic trends, and introducing individualities who have told this inconceivable assiduity. They set up alleviation in defining moments of different ages, from the graceful fineness of the Mauryas to the cheekiness of the Harappans. The collection showcased during the event was a beautiful emulsion of the history and present, paying homage to the visionaries who paved the way for the fashion we embrace at the moment.
On Day 2, the students presented a witching display of India's remarkable crafts, including Madhu Bani, Sujani, Kutch Embroidery, and Got ta Patti. These crafts go beyond cultural expression; they serve as profound reflections of our artistic identity and recognize the professed crafters who have dedicatedly saved these traditions. Over 25 days, the pupil contrivers had the honor of uniting with famed crafters, immersing themselves in the substance of each craft and gaining inestimable perceptivity into the crafters' unique perspectives. By combining their newfound knowledge with their creative capacities, the scholars have drafted collections that truly embody the spirit of these crafts.
After the show, the students were given instruments by the CEO of the World Designing Forum itself and an appreciation award is given to the KR Mangalam University.
