The job fair organised by the HPPERC is being hosted by Bahra University.
Every aspiring student wishes to make their dream career a reality. The Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission (HPPERC) hosted a mega job fair for all higher education institutions, universities, and colleges on May 6 at Bahra University. The job fair was the second in a series of joint placement drives organised by HPPERC. The presence of the respected Chief Minister-Shri Jairam Thakur, Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur, and Chairman of the HPPERC-Maj-Gen Kaushik SM at the job fair at Bahra University.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Arlekar was featured at the student empowerment conclave. He stated that this placement drive was held due to the motivation of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Over 1600 young people have registered for this placement drive and have praised the industry for coming to the campus of Bahra University.
More than 35 top national and international companies attended the job fair to offer job opportunities for students in engineering, management, pharma, agriculture, journalism, hotel management, and nursing for 2020, 2021, and 2022 pass out students, as well as veterans from Shimla, Solan, and Sirmour districts. Jairam Thakur thanked the entrepreneurs for their cooperation in this mega event, which has offered job opportunities for hundreds of young people in the State.
Bahra University was chosen as the location for the Chief Minister's launch of the Himachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission's Online Information Management System, 'Disha,' which will allow students to access the correct information quickly. He stated that once this system is implemented, information about private universities and institutes, such as staff, courses, facilities, and degrees, will be available online. He added that this would benefit not only the locals but also the students at the training institutes.
The Mega Placement Drive in Bahra featured 50+ Recruiters and 1000+ Job Opportunities. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for nearly 725 students who were hired in their fields with average pay packages of more than 6 lakhs. The Chief Minister offered Job Letters to the selected candidates and interacted with the candidates who had registered for this placement drive on this occasion. According to the Chief Minister, organizing the Joint Placement Drive in Bahra was an important step that provided a platform for students studying in the state's private and government educational institutions to find employment. He stated that universities, colleges, ITIs, and polytechnic institutes were all involved in this joint placement drive. As a result, he added that hundreds of youth were chosen by approximately 50 large companies participating in the Drive on a good package. According to Jai Ram Thakur, the State Government initiated the "Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojna" scheme to empower youth entrepreneurship and young people aged 18 to 45 and women aged 18 to 50.
Bahra became the center of attention as the students who participated in the Bahra placement drive had an excellent opportunity to be part of it. At the same time, renowned speakers from various fields were invited to share their insights and knowledge on the conclave's selected aspects.
