ITI full form is The Industrial Training Institute of India, it is a post-secondary school constituted under the Directorate General of Employment of Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour & Employment Union Government of India. The ITI

The Industrial Training Institute of India is a government training organization that offers industry-related education to high school students. However, at an equivalent time, students can still apply a few trades after the 8th grade. Specifically, these institutes supply technical information to students who have just passed the 10th level and are interested in gaining some technical knowledge instead of further education.

The Directorate-General, the Skills Development, and the Entrepreneurship Ministry established the ITI for Employment and Training (DGET). The ITI course fee is less than the engineering courses in various states. Mostly, the fees for these courses range from INR 1,700 to INR 79,000 for ITI engineering trades. If a student wishes to avail of hostel accommodation, they may be required to pay extra fees for the hostel. However, some states provide full concession or partial concession in course fees for the students from the economically backward or reserved categories.

ITI Important Dates and Application Process

This year the exam and the entire process of the ITI got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic. However, this year the exam was conducted for the 1st & 2nd year and all four semesters. 

The institute got established to provide vocational training to students. Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET) - Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is responsible for laying down guidelines, rules, and regulations and formulating ITIs in India.

The ITI admission process is not the same in all the states in India, and it may differ from state to state. ITI admission online registration can be done on the official website of the concerned authority. ITI admission to the various trade is made every year in August, and the successful candidates receive the National Trade Certificate (NTC)
