“Dialogues for Change: one story at a time”
The School of Media and Communication (SoMC), Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal has organized an International Conference on the topic “Dialogues for Change: one story at a time” and “How contemporary Media, Journalism and Communication are Influencing Behaviors, Attitudes and Actions” on the 13th of January 2017.
Journalism, Culture, and Communication converge as School of Media and Communication brought the JLU Festival of Media on the 13th of January 2017. JLU Festival is exclusively a one day Program designed to help professionals, academicians, researchers and student communities and individuals to be able to spark an easy conversation and connection on various themes concerned with the fields of media, communication, and Journalism. JLU Festival of Media 2017 was conducted with the aim to aspire to initiate deep conversations and connections. And this could be possible with a combination of live presenters and content. The speakers were all high achievers in their respective space but connected through the ever evolving thread of behavior change, influence, and action, address a wide range of topics within the research and practice of media, communication, Journalism, and culture, often through storytelling.
The festival was open to all professionals, academicians, Researchers, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students and. The festival was conducted with the aim that the events held during the festival will galvanize them regarding the issues. It aims to bridge the gap between students and professionals of the media industry. The festival will have elements of both, festival and fun but is also bound to create a change. A change in the perception and assumptions of people. A change which is much needed in order to let people know the value of meaningful competitions. A change that can help people ignite deep and quality conversations with others. It will bring world’s most influential media minds for one, sharply structured day of presentations, deliberations, sessions, workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, and networking.
