IBS Selection Briefings: Building the Bridge to a Future in Management

The IBS Selection Briefings, which began on January 10th, were successfully conducted across 70+ cities in India, creating a meaningful bridge between aspiring management professionals and their chosen B-school, ICFAI Business School (IBS). Designed as an informative, interactive, and introductory platform, these sessions brought together candidates who had applied to IBS and their parents, enabling them to engage directly with the institution even before the formal selection process began.

These briefings focused on the core pillars of IBS’s excellence in management education, offering participants a clear and comprehensive roadmap for the journey ahead. Recognising that choosing a business school is one of the most important decisions in a student’s life, the sessions placed special emphasis on addressing the concerns of parents regarding their children’s future career trajectories.

Through transparent and engaging discussions, IBS highlighted its extensive support ecosystem—ranging from dedicated mentorship, a 14-week internship programme, and a robust placement support system. This holistic approach reassured both parents and candidates, helping them feel confident about career development opportunities and long-term professional growth.

Celebrating Excellence: Scholarships and Achievements

A key highlight of the briefings was the recognition of exceptional talent. IBS congratulated its scholarship recipients and National Mock Test winners, presenting them with prize money and certificates of accomplishment.

• 500 scholarships of ₹2 lakh each were awarded to the top scorers of the IBSAT 2025 Test.

• Among the National Mock Test winners:

  • 1st Prize: ₹1 lakh

  • 2nd Prize: ₹50,000

  • 3rd Prize: ₹25,000

  • Remaining 97 winners: ₹5,000 each

These recognitions not only celebrated individual performance but also reflected the high standard of talent that IBS continues to attract.

Voices that Inspire: Leadership, Faculty, and Alumni

The briefings featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including campus heads, senior faculty members, and successful alumni.

• Campus heads shared the institutional vision and long-term mission of IBS.

• Faculty members explained the rigorous, industry-aligned curriculum, highlighting the case-study-based learning approach and exposure to modern laboratories such as SAP and Bloomberg.

• Alumni delivered the most compelling insights, sharing personal transformation stories and showcasing the power of the IBS network, which now spans 75,000+ alumni worldwide.

Their journeys offered candidates a real-world perspective on how IBS shapes careers and builds lifelong professional networks.

What’s Next: IBS Selection Process at Hyderabad

As the journey continues, the IBS Selection Process is scheduled to take place from February 14th to 22nd at the IBS Hyderabad Campus.
The process will include:

• Micro-presentations

• Personal interviews

These stages are designed to identify and select candidates for their desired IBS campuses.

Candidates are advised to plan their travel to Hyderabad, keeping in mind potential last-minute increases in travel costs.
