The two-day media fest “Media Verse” at Vivekananda Global University concluded grandly on 28 January with great enthusiasm and excitement. The fest was organized on 27 and 28 January at the university campus and provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talent through various events related to media, communication, and creative expression.
On the second and final day of Media Verse, the Patron of the University, Shri M. R. Bagaria, delivered the keynote address. In his inspiring speech, he emphasized that media serves as the mirror of society and that today’s youth have the responsibility to use it as a tool for positive change. He encouraged students to move forward with creative thinking, ethical journalism, and innovation. Shri Bagaria appreciated the collective efforts of the organizers, faculty members, and students for the successful conduct of the media fest.
The Chief Guest of the programme, Ms. Khushi Bagaya, former Miss Rajasthan, addressed the students and shared that self-confidence, consistent effort, and belief in one’s dreams are the keys to success. She motivated the youth to refine their talents and make the best use of the opportunities provided through such platforms. Her presence added special charm to the event and infused enthusiasm among the participants.
As part of the two-day Media Verse fest, various competitions such as reel making, film making, fashion show, open mic, and Ad-Mad were organized. In the reel and film making competitions, students powerfully presented social issues, youth perspectives, and creative imaginations. The fashion show witnessed confident and creative ramp walks, earning loud applause from the audience.
During the open mic session, students expressed themselves through poetry, storytelling, singing, and personal reflections, while the Ad-Mad competition showcased teams presenting effective advertisements within a limited time, highlighting their creative abilities. The enthusiasm and active participation of students were evident throughout all events.
Media Verse aimed not only to provide a competitive platform but also to offer students practical exposure to the media industry, along with opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership, and presentation skills. Along with learning, students enjoyed a rich blend of entertainment and creative engagement during the fest.
During the valedictory ceremony, winners of various competitions were felicitated, and awards were presented by the esteemed guests, encouraging and motivating the participants. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, wherein the organizing committee expressed gratitude to the university management, dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
Thus, the media fest “Media Verse” at Vivekananda Global University emerged not only as a hub of entertainment and competition but also as a memorable and enriching experience that fostered learning, inspiration, and creative growth among students.
