CAT and DAT
Admission in CUSAT is dependent on Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the University as a whole and Departmental Admission Test (DAT) conducted by respective departments for students all over India seeking admission to Cochin University. The Common Test date has been set by CUSAT for 2017 which are 29th and 30th April. Registered students can select the center most convenient for them from the list of centers where CAT will be conducted. For every right answer is the test the student will be awarded 3 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. The candidates can also select the subjects from the list of subjects.
Application for Common Admission Test
Candidates can appear for CAT by first filling the application form online by filling all the relevant mandatory details. After going through the eligibility criteria the candidate can apply for one or more desired courses under the same application form. After filling the application form and payment, the candidate must check on their application status for any updates. However, the admit card is available to candidates only after complete submission of application forms and candidates will not be allowed to appear for CAT without their admit card under any circumstances.
