Centre for Design Excellence, Vivekananda Global University (CODE-VGU) is all set to organize a one-day extraordinary programme on World Architecture Day which will be the fourth season of the annual event STAMBH. The event is being organized in alliance with the Indian Institute of Architects (II) Rajasthan Chapter. Many interactive expert sessions, competitions for architecture students, and felicitation ceremony will take place during the programme.
The event will start on 5th Oct at 10:00 am with ‘Live Interactive Session themed Future with Architecture’. Stars like Ar. Habeeb Khan (President, COA), Ar. Divya Kush (President, IIA), Ar. Gyanendra Singh Shekhawat (Chairman, ACAE- ARCASIA), Ar. Tushar Sogani (Deputy Chairman, ACGSA- ARCASIA), and Ar. Mukul Goyal (Deputy Chairman, ACPP- ARCASIA) will be in the panel. Representatives from top professional bodies shall be addressing and interacting with the audience live during the sessions. Another special part of the event will be the awarding ceremony of the NATA 2020 High Scorers by Vivekananda Global University in the presence of the dignitaries. CODE-VGU has a history of applauding professional achievements as well as social contributions. Hence renowned academicians from the field of architecture shall also be felicitated during the event. Many enthralling competitions like Archetype, Reboot & Rewind, Meri Kahani, and many more will take place in the evening session. This will give a platform to students and professionals from different parts of the country to participate digitally and share their ideas. On the Spot competition like the Virtual Live Model Making competition will also be a part of the event. In addition to the competitions, the participants will be given opportunities to share their architectural experiences and memories with the audience. They will also be given a chance to compile their very own Pictorial Directory. After all the activities of fun, ‘Meri Kahani’ will begin to celebrate architecture by bringing on several funny stories, on-ground narratives, and life experiences of well-known architects and academicians.
According to the CEO of Vivekananda Global University Mr. Onkar Bagaria "STAMBH 2020 is an annual event by the university to mark the leading industry-academia in the field of architecture", He also thanked the IIA Rajasthan Chapter for its support in the growth of architecture academia at the Vivekananda Global University.
The Joint Hon. Secretary of IIA Rajasthan Chapter Ar. Gaurav Agarwal informed that around 3000 participants may attend the event. He wants the architects, students, and their families to participate from all across the globe. Ar. Gaurav is also working as an Associate Prof. of Architecture with CODE-VGU. He talked about his college experiences and congratulated the institute for organizing another event to provide professional exposure and connect the young students in the field of architecture and design. The Faculty Coordinator of the event Ar. Vibhuti Joshi has appealed to the dedicated professionals and enthusiastic students to become a part of the event by registering themselves on codevgu.in/wad2020 so as to celebrate the World Architecture Day by connecting digitally and expressing the joys of the architecture field with CODE-VGU.
