The full form of BSF is the Border Security Force. BSF is India’s paramilitary force with a duty to protect India and maintain peace. History of BSF
Before the BSF, the State Armed Police Battalion was guarding the borders of India. In 1965, when Pakistan attacked the Sardar post, Beria Bet and Chhar Bet that the State Armed Police Battalion found themselves overpowered and unable to quell the situation. The result was the creation of the Border security force, a premium military arm of the Government of India that was established to protect the country from outside forces. The BSF controlled and overpowered Pakistan's attack under the leadership of the first chief of the BSF - Mr. K F Rustamji.
The BSF work during peace times and double their efforts during the war. By providing protection and security to the people around the border, the BSF limits unauthorized personnel's entry across the borders of India. Medical Standards For BSF 2020
As per the guidelines for medical standard in BSF recruitment for 2020, the candidates must possess correct and unaided clear vision.
