In addition to the currently administered B.Tech and MBA entrance exams, these are newly introduced admission tests for regular Bachelor's and integrated programmes by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, ranked 5th Best Overall University by NIRF 2022 Rankings, has announced entrance examinations for its undergraduate and integrated programmes. Eligible students who have passed their +2 or equivalent examination can apply for the entrance exams and secure admission to their desired programme. In addition to the currently administered BTech and MBA entrance exams, these are newly introduced admission tests for regular Bachelor's and integrated programmes by Amrita.
The university conducts three different entrance examinations as part of the selection process. The entrance exams are as follows:
- Amrita Entrance Examination-Physical Sciences (AEEP): This exam is for students who have graduated after their +2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Candidates desiring to join programmes offered in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, BCA, etc., must attend this examination. The exam is for 2 hours and has 80 questions. The university offers various UG and integrated programs under Amritapuri, Coimbatore, Mysuru and Kochi). Applicants can secure admission based ONLY on the +2 marks to the programmes offered at Kochi and Mysuru campuses. The 5-Year Integrated M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Physics with a Minor in Scientific Computing, M.Sc. Physics with a Minor in Scientific Computing and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry with a Minor in Materials Design are just a few of Amrita's specialisations.
- Amrita Entrance Examination – Life Sciences, Agriculture & Medical Sciences (AEEL): This exam is for students who have graduated after their +2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. The exam is for 2 hours and has 80 questions. Undergraduate programs are offered under the stream at Amritapuri, Kochi, Faridabad and Coimbatore campuses. Candidates with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their +2 or equivalent can apply for the B.Pharm / Pharm D programmes without attending the entrance examination. Some programs offered under AEEL are BSc (Hons) in Food Science and Nutrition, B. Pharm / Pharm D, and B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences (All Specialisations).
- Amrita Entrance Examination – Behavioural Sciences (Arts, Humanities & Commerce) (AEEB): This exam is for students who have graduated after their +2 with humanities or commerce as their core subject. Candidates desiring to join any programme with Arts, Humanities, or Commerce as eligibility are required to attend this examination. The subjects for the exam are Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning. Programs are available at Mysuru, Kochi and Amritapuri campuses. Applicants can secure admission based on the +2 marks to the programmes offered at Kochi and Mysuru campuses. B.Sc. Visual Media, 5-year Integrated M.Sc. Visual Communication, B Com (Taxation and Finance), 5-year Integrated M. A. English (Language & Literature), BBA, and BCom are the courses offered.
The dates for the entrance exams will be announced on the university’s website, https://amrita.edu/admissions, and interested students can apply online. The exams will be conducted in various cities across the country.
