The students and faculty of AISSMS College of Hotel operation and Catering Technology (CHMCT) create a world record for preparing 100 curries in 250 minutes
Pune, Maharashtra, 5th May 2023- The students and faculty of AISSMS College of Hotel Operation and Catering Technology (CHMCT) have successfully achieved a world record for preparing an astonishing 100 curries in a bare 250 minutes, certified by the World Book of Records London and Iudex. This remarkable feat is a homage to the rich and different Indian cookery and a testament to the exceptional gift and fidelity of the team.
The attempt was also a part of the AISSM Society's centenary corner celebrated last time and AISSMS CHMCT's estimable completion of 25 times. The record-setting attempt occurred on 5th May 2023 at the CHMCT lot, where 250 scholars and faculty came together to showcase their culinary prowess globally.
The scholars worked lifelessly, demonstrating their passion and cooperation, to prepare a variety of curries that impressed the judges and set a new standard for culinary excellence. The event was inaugurated by Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati, Hon. Secretary, AISSM Society, in the presence of the Guest of Honour Chef Shailendra Kekade, Celebrity Chef and Restaurateur, Dr. Sonali Jadhav, star AISSMS CHMCT and Office Liaisons of AISMM Society.
The entire process of trying this world record was covered and estimated by a Panel of Jury comprising Mr. Rajeev Srivastava, Vice President, World Book of Record- India, representing World Book of Records, London, Dr Aparna Deshpande as subject experts and Dr Archana Biwal as gazetted officers, who verified that the team had successfully set a new world record. The Team comprising Faculty, staff, and scholars to attempt this World Record is led by star Dr. Sonali Jadhav and the Head of the Culinary Department, Dr. Gauri Shah.
