INI CET Full Form: Dates, Eligibility, Application, Exam Pattern

Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test is the INI CET full form. INI CET is a national-level test organised biannually by AIIMS New Delhi. It allows students to gain PG admissions (MS, MD, M.Ch, MDS) to AIIMS, PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Puducherry, SCTIMST Trivandrum, and NIMHANS Bengaluru. The INI CET 2025 exam was conducted on May 17, 2025, and the result was announced on May 24, 2025.

INI CET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Aspirants who wished to appear for INI CET 2025 had to meet certain requirements. Following are the details related to the eligibility criteria for INI CET 2025.

• The candidate must hold an MBBS/BDS/equivalent degree from an MCI/DCI-recognised institution.
• The candidate must have completed a 12-month internship on or before Jun 30, 2022.
• General category applicants should have obtained at least 55% marks in their degree program. The minimum aggregate score requirement is 50% for reserved category applicants.
• Applicants should have a registration certificate that is issued by SMC/DMC/MCI/DCI.

INI CET 2025 Exam Pattern

The aspirant must know the exam pattern before taking any entrance exam like INI CET. Here is a brief overview of the INI CET 2025 exam pattern.

• The entire duration of INI CET was 180 minutes. The authorities conducted the exam from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
• The INI CET 2025 question paper includes 200 MCQ questions from physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.
• Test-takers got 1 mark for every correct response, and there was a 33% deduction for each wrong response.

INI CET 2025 Application Form

There are 2 stages to filling out the application form for INI CET 2025: basic registration and final registration. Additionally, it requires the generation of EUC that allows aspirants to apply for multiple programs. 

Basic Registration Process

Following are the step-by-step instructions to register for the INI CET entrance exam. 

• Head to the official website of AIIMS- aiimsexams.ac.in.
• Choose the academic programs from the list provided on the site.
• Click on new registration and enter all the necessary details in the basic registration form.
• Finally, proceed to generate the registration ID and password.

Process for Uploading Documents

Upon the completion of the registration process, upload the documents by following these steps:

• Log in to the official website of AIIMS using your credentials.
• Upload scanned documents like passport-size photos, thumb impressions, and signatures in the specified format.
• Proceed to the next step

Checking of Registration Status and Code Generation Process

INI CET exam registration requires Exam Unique Code (EUC) generation. Here is the detailed process:

• Again, sign into the portal by entering your credentials.
• Check the status of your registration.
• Now, generate the Exam Unique Code (EUC).
• Note down the code for future purposes.

Final Registration and Payment Process

For the final registration of INI CET, applicants need to follow these instructions. They also need to make the payment of the application fee.

• Use the same credentials to log into the official portal.
• Select the exam medium and provide academic details.
• Click on the payment option and choose the mode of payment.
• Pay INR 2,000 as the application fee if you belong to the unreserved category. For SC/ST categories, the prescribed application fee is INR 1,500.
• Save the INI CET application form and take its printout for future use.

INI CET 2025 Admit Card

All the registered candidates could download their hall tickets from the official website. Here are the steps to follow in order to download the INI CET admit card.

• Go to the official website- aiimsexams.ac.in.
• Click on the ‘Academic Courses’ option.
• Select the preferred course from the list, i.e., ‘INI CET (MD/MS/MCh(6yrs)/DM(6yrs)’ 
• Log in using your registration ID, password, and captcha code.
• Now, you will be able to view the INI CET 2025 admit card.
• Lastly, download the admit card for the INI CET exam and take its printout.

INI CET 2025 Results

INI CET 2025 result is released in the form of a PDF, the result includes the list of candidates who qualified for INI CET 2025. Additionally, it consists of details like roll number, overall percentile, rank, category, etc. 

For the GN/EWS/OCI/Foreign Nationals categories, the minimum cutoff percentile for INI CET 2025 is 50%. In the case of OBC/ST/SC/PwD candidates, the cutoff percentile is 45%. Follow the instructions below to check out the INI CET 2025 result.

INI CET 2025 Merit List

On the basis of the INI CET 2025 result, authorities will prepare and publish a merit list. In case 2 or more candidates get the same score, then the candidate will have to follow the tie-breaking process. According to this process, authorities select the candidates based on higher scores, age, and fewer negative marks.

INI CET Counselling Process 2025

The authorities have released the INI CET 2025 counselling schedule on its official website. Only those who cleared INI CET 2025 will be eligible for the counselling & seat allotment process.

INI CET 2025 counselling will take place online in four rounds: mock round, first round, second round, and open round. Candidates can register for the counselling process by following the steps below.

• Firstly, go to the official website: aiimsexams.ac.in
• Enter personal, academic, internship, NMC/SMC registration, INI CET exam-related, and other details.
• Review all the details provided and then click on submit.
• You will receive the registration number on your registered email ID & mobile number.
