The University offers admissio in the following M.Sc. Programmes:

Candidate admission Eligibility Criteria: -         

For all courses:

The candidate admission is required to have completed the 10+2 years of schooling from a recognised board (CBSE or equivalent) and 3 years of university (total 15 years) as recognised by SSSIHL. They should have either passed or appeared for Final exams at Bachelor’s degree level securing a minimum of 50% marks or more in English and 60% marks in aggregate including English, or a CGPA aggregate of 6 or more (10-point scale) and 5 or more (10-point scale) in English.

The specific requirements for a Bachelor’s degree for each course is as follows:

  • MA (English Language Literature) Programme: Any Bachelor’s Degree.
  • M.Sc. (Biosciences) Programme: B.Sc. or B.Sc.(Hons) in Biosciences, Botany or Zoology
  • M.Sc. (Food and Nutritional Sciences) Programme: B.Sc. in Home Science or Biosciences, or Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry
  • MA (Economics) Programme: B.A./B.A. (Hons.) in Economics, B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics or Mathematics, B.B.A. or B.Com./B.Com. (Hons.)
  • M.Sc. Mathematics Programme: B.Sc. in Mathematics or other B.Sc. programmes (M/P/C or M/E/S or M/P/CS) with a major/ specialisation in Mathematics
  • M.Sc. Physics Programme:
    1. B.Sc. (Hons.): Physics as a main subject along with Mathematics and either Chemistry, Statistics, Electronics or Computer Science as additional subjects
    2. B.Sc. without Honours: 3-subject combination with Physics, Mathematics and either Chemistry, Statistics, Electronics or Computer Science
  • M.Sc. Material Science Programme:
    1. B.Sc.(Hons.) in Physics with Chemistry and Mathematics as the other two compulsory subjects
    2. B.Sc.(Hons.) in Chemistry with Physics and Mathematics as the other two compulsory subjects
    3. B.Sc. without Honours: 3-subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and either Biosciences/Electronics/Computer Science as additional subjects (if any)
    4. B.Sc. in Applied Physics/Nanoscience & Nanotechnology degree with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subject
  • M.Sc. Chemistry Programme: B.Sc. or B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry
  • M.Sc. Biosciences Programme: B.Sc. or B.Sc.(Hons) in Biosciences, Botany or Zoology

Admission Application Procedure:

M.Sc & MA:

The candidate can access the Admission Application Form by the following two methods:

  • Online Method: The candidate can acquire it via the online admission application portal on the website
  • By Postal/In Person: The candidate can get a paper admission application form posted to them by the University, or obtain it themselves.

For Online Admission Application Method:

The candidate for admission is required to log on to the Institute’s website.

Afte which he/she should then click on the link for online admission application and will be guided step-by-step on how the form is to be filled.

The candidate for admission must have an email id to login and then is required to fill the Form with the required personal and educational details.

The individual should then submit the Admission Application Form. Once completed, they will be able to view the filled-in admission application form in PDF format and save it on their computer.

The candidate is required to take a print out of the Admission Application Form.

For Paper Admission Application (By Hand):

The candidate must send a written request comprising of a Requisition Letter indicating the Programme that the candidate would like to apply for and a Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order of Rs. 100 drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi. The candidate must mention their name and complete postal address at the back of the Demand Draft.

They should then fill the Admission Application Form with the required personal and education details and also affix a recent passport size photograph.

For both the Modes of Submission:-

Documents needed to be Enclosed: The candidate should attach the following documents with their respective Admission Application form:

  • Two additional passport size photographs (with name and Application number on the reverse of the photograph)
  • Attested copies of Class 10th and 12th Certificates
  • Self-attested copies of Class 12th mark sheet
  • Self-attested copies of Degree Certificate and mark sheet

The candidate should then staple the filled admission application form with all supporting materials. Then, seal them in an A4-sized envelope.

If the choice has been made to pay online, the candidate should print and attach a copy of the electronic receipt. Otherwise, send an Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.100/- per application. The Bank draft should be drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi.

The candidate must then send the duly signed Admission Application Form along with the required documents to the following address:

Admission Process:

M.Sc & MA:

The candidate for admission selection will be on the basis of an Entrance Test followed by an Interview.

The Entrance Test will consist of two papers. Paper 1 will be on General English which will cover Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Compositions and spelling.

Paper 2 will be specific to every course and will consist of both objective and subjective type questions. The question paper of two hours duration and carrying 75 marks.

The detailed syllabus for the entrance test for each course is given on the website.

Reservation:

The reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.


Admission Eligibility Criteria:

B.Sc , B.Com & BA:

For all courses:

The candidate for admission should have either passed or appeared for the final examination at the 10+2 level from a recognised board (CBSE or equivalent). They should have also secured a minimum of 55% marks or more in English and 60% marks in aggregate including English.

If the candidate has not appeared for 12th Standard exams, their 10th and 12th Standard marks will be

considered.

However, the B.Sc. (Food and Nutritional Sciences) Programme is limited to Women candidates only, and the B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics/Economy/Statistics and Integrated MCA Programme are limited to Male candidates only. The rest of the courses are available to all.

Age: The candidate for admission should be below 19 years.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Programme:

  • Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry.
  • Biosciences/Chemistry.
  • Mathematics/Economy/Statistics.

Admission Process:

B.Sc , B.Com & BA:

For all the offered courses:

The candidate will be selected for admission on the basis of an Admission Test. The admission test syllabus is based on 11th and 12th standard of CBSE. The question paper will be of Multiple Choice type. There will be proportionate negative marking.

For B.Ed. Programme:

The test will consist of 2 papers. The first paper will be based on General English and Aptitude Test.

Paper 1: This will consist of two sub-tests of 80 minutes duration and for 65 marks. The General English will be for 30 marks to be completed in 40 minutes. The Situation Analysis part is for 35 marks to be completed in 40 minutes.  

Paper 2: This test will consist of two papers on the core subjects studied in the qualifying degree. The test will be of 100 minutes duration and for 100 marks (50+50).

 

Reservation:

The admission reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
