The BUMS syllabus covers important topics such as Principles of Unani Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Unani Pharmacy, Toxicology, Regimenal Therapy, Paediatrics, and more. The BUMS curriculum is strategically structured for a periods of 4 years. The 5th year of the program includes a mandatory internship. 

The BUMS syllabus imparts theoretical and practical knowledge by including practical sessions also known as Juze Amali. The syllabus of BUMS focuses on the Unani medicine practice and techniques that are covered as per C.C.I.M.'s recommendations.
