Ud2232000's Review on Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, (DBUU) Dehradun

I did three internships during my course duration:

1. SEO Executive along with Social Media handling from the institute itself and to be honest it has helped me a lot in understanding the professional conduct & the minutes of search engine optimization while giving me a handsome stipend.

2. Content Writing & graphic designing for a local clothing store

3. Event Management at Unik Experiences where I got a broad exposure through dealing with various personalities, challenges which made me come out of my comfort zone.

A number of MNCs - IT, Sales & Marketing, Staffing, & Manufacturing field visit our college campus every year to hire the students from various courses like B.Tech., BCA, MCA, B.Sc., BBA, MBA, etc. The Corporate Resource Centre at our institute works diligently to provide constant training for enhancing the soft skills of the students.

The institute has a 43 acres lush green & wifi-enabled campus. The hostel fee ranges from Rs. 77,500 to 90,000 per year on the basis of availed facilities.

I took admission on the basis of my score in Higher Secondary education. I was eligible for admission in BCA as I am from PCM background and I got more than 45% (My actual score was 78.4%).

My overall academic experience throughout these 3 years of my course has been really great. The faculties always quenched my curiosity and always guided us to become a potent professional.

Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions, Dehradun Fee Structure. The fee for my BCA course is Rs 42,500 per year.

There are three types of scholarship (in tuition fee) available for the academic session 2020-21:

Academic Scholarship, Uttarakhand Domicile Scholarship, and COVID Warriors Scholarship.

Extra benefits on the basis of previous scores:

• The student with a percentage between 75% to 84.99% gets a 10% extra scholarship.
• The student with a percentage between 85% to 94.99% gets a 20% extra scholarship.
• The student with a percentage above 96% gets a 100% scholarship.

DBGI provides several opportunities to learn, innovate, explore, and have an equal share of fun and frolic outside the scope of their regular curriculum through the plethora of extracurricular activities at the campus:

Insight 360 - The Photography Club
Photography Club is a platform to bring together like-minded people who share knowledge about the art and science of photography. The club encourages and provides a chance to learn photography, utilize their camera to the fullest, and become sensitized to the world.

Parvaz - The Literature Club
Literature Club is a community of creative, imaginative, and thoughtful human beings the club is aimed to promote languages and literature. The club organizes a rich and distinct array of literary activities such as group discussions, poetry writing, debates, and interactive/lecture sessions, etc. to reach out to language and literature lovers and try to build a space for sharing emotions and thoughts.

Spoorthi - Sports Club
The Sports Club of DBGI is perpetrated to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students. It helps to learn collaboration at work, coordination among different cultural & ethnic groups, and mainly infuses discipline and introduces the value system in one individual while they are having fun. Value of time, accuracy & competitiveness is the primary learning points apart from communication, coordination & teamwork. The club organizes Hostel Premier League, College Premier League, and various other high-spirited sport meets for the students to play, learn, and enjoy their hearts out.

Crafiti - Art and Craft Club
The Art and Craft Club is for the artistic souls who can even capture the universe through their creativity. The club aims to encourage students and provide them opportunities to enhance their creative sides by providing them with platforms to share their ideas, thoughts, artworks, and a lot more. The club provides them with the table to openly bring out all the creativity they want to display and then further help them find the right direction to showcase it.

Surtaal - Music and Dance Club
The club is a platform for artistic soles that can capture the world through their thinking and creativity. Members use the opportunity to learn the foundations of dance through the use of various dance forms to improve their creativity and enhance physical skills.

Mechanical Engineering Students Society (MESS)
Mechanical Engineering Students Society actively outreach to freshmen engineering students who are engrossed in pursuing studies in the areas of Mechanical Engineering and accommodate these individuals with insights to these fields of study and opportunities to socialize and interact with the senior student and the Mechanical Engineering professionals. It also aims to bring about the technical development of students by organizing seminars, workshops and other activities and also to improve the non-technical abilities of students by engendering good communication skills, managerial abilities, presentation skills, and teamwork.

DBGI Cultural Fest - PINAK
PINAK, the most awaited cultural festival organized for the students and by the students of DBGI, is a three-day fun-fiesta which embraces a mélange of activities ranging from dance competition to singing competition, movie-making to LAN gaming and much more.

DBGI Technical Fest - Navadhara
Navadhara is a National Level Technical Fest with the participation of potent and bright students from all around the nation. Through the event, the young brains get to showcase their skills and compete with others to find the best. It is not just about the competition but also an event where a lot of those new ideas are seen live plus where students learn and get inspired to further work towards achieving their dreams.
