Puneeth Srinivas's Review on Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jain (Deemed-to-be-University)

Jain college gives ample number of oppurtunities with respect to jobs and internships. There will be many companies coming according to their branches where one can expect Core and Non-Core Companies as well. Companies like Juspay, KPMG, Tech Mahindra, Paypal, Byju's and so many where the minimum salary will be from 2.6LPA and maximum salary will be up to 12LPA. According to placements reports with ISE, CSE and ECE college has around 85% but with Mech, Civil, EEE, and Aerospace we can expect around 60-70% of students who got placed.

There are many hostels in college like dorms, 8 seaters, 6 seaters and twin sharing. There are separate hostels for boys and girls where the hostels are maintained very clean and neat. Hostel fees are quite costlier like twin sharing costs around 95k and dorms price will be around 60k per year.If you don't wanna stay one can opt places to leave either in kanakpura or jakkasandra where the rentals will be around 5-8k per month. Food is like good and can expect an average quality of it. Quality of classroom and hostel is very nice and in the library, we can find numerous books kept in the rack, the library is very spacious where it can accommodate up to 200-300 students. When it comes to WI-FI they are introducing it everywhere and net speed is also good.

Eligibility criteria come with PU here you must be having a percentage of 80+ and one must be well aware of Science Field. The entrance exam, I took was KCET and here also there are different cutoffs with respect to their branches also one can take Joint entrance exam(JEE) and Jain admission test(JAT) by writing this exam one can get to know where he stands in the list also these exams will give scholarships for top scorers of that exam.The cutoff which is there for the Information Science is 35k-40k KCET rankings if one posses it he can get into jain college easily and can experience the vibrant features and facilities of the college.

Class Timings will be from 08:40 to 03:30 where it will be having one short break(15 mins) and followed by one lunch break(45mins). One lecture will be of 50minutes and, Not Many Assignments are given and it depends on the faculty who gives assignments, Here in college teachers will use Smart Boards and Green Boards to explain the topic also some teachers explain with the help of working models too. If you are an ISE or CSE student you will get an opportunity to work in labs about the concepts which they taught in class. Overall i can tell its a must join the college for students who are looking for better exposure in respective domains.

I am a student of Jain from 2014 and will be graduating in 2018. I got Admitted to this college by KCET where I had to pay a fee of 36k for CET and 33k for traveling 25k as tuition fees so, on the whole, it will be around 94k. All government scholarships are given here like Epass, Backward community scholarship and etc. The scholarship will be given for only Backward Communities like OBC, SC, and ST. The average number depends on the admission of people. Loans are actually needed now because Jain University is not taking students from KCET so the fees have raised to 2.5L- 3.5L so one can go for banks and avail loans. 

There are Cultural Forums, Sports Forums and academic supporting Forums where these will be a good strength to students.The festivals we celebrate is Holi, Onam, Ganesha Chaturthi, Diwali and so on. We do annual sports for both faculties and students. There will be inter college and inter-department sports and fests.We host both technical and cultural fests in every odd and even sem. The life in college is very amazing where you get to meet new people from different part of the world and can learn their language or culture(if interested). The main thing is I can guarantee if anyone joins Jain college he will be able to talk very good English without stammering.
