Placements and Internships

Recruitment Committee of NLUJ help to obtain Internships from prefers firms of students. Students can also obtain internships through independent applications. Students have reported obtaining stipends varying from 3000 to 15000. Legal firms like SAM, CAM, Trilegal, Luthara, LKS etc hire from the college. The average salary is repeated between 8 lakh per annum and 10 lakh per annum. Highest have heard is 20 lakh per annum. Almost 80% of batch who sits for campus placements are hired. (Some students also give civil service exam or join litigation practice or try higher studies). NLUJ have great alumni network as one will be present in every top law firms of the country.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There are 6 Hostels for Boys and 6 hostels for girls inside the campus. Girls hostels are inside separate area inside campus with the wall around. Each student is provided with the single room. Each floor has 20 rooms with common bathroom. Differently able students are provided with rooms with attached bathrooms. Around 15000 per year is hostel fee. Internet fee of 10000 per year. There are one Vegetarian and two non-vegetarian Mess inside campus seeing decent quality food. Average price varies from 40 to 60 for veg and 80 to 100 for non-veg. Classrooms are of standard quality with single seating chairs. There is a two-floor library with the decent collection. Dining Halls are big and Attached to mess. WI-FI available in class rooms and library also. Hostels are provided with internet cables to each room. Entrance Exams and Admissions

Students from any back ground can join this college. Admission is done through an aptitude test called clat ( More details on http://www.clat.ac.in). It is an MCQ exam with 200 questions and duration of 2hours. Exams usually happen in May for which online application for is open from March. Students awaiting 10+2's result can also apply for the test. Based on results, admission is happening to on of 19 National Law Universities. Entrance is Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) There results are supposed to be more than 55% in 10+2. More than 1 lack students appear for the exam every year out of which around 4000 students will get placed in different NLUs.

Academics and Faculty

Till 3rd year 6 daily lectures every day 8:30 AM to 2:50 PM in summers and 9:00 AM to 3: 15 PM in winters) 4 lecture for law and 2 for BA. By 3 year will complete BA and next 2 one law subject specialization happens along with other law subjects. Entire academic marking scheme is divided into 50%internal and 50% end term exam marking. In the internal, subjects have 4 Continuous Assessment test out of which 3 is considered. This makes 30%of 50%in subjects that don't have Court Room Exercise (CRE). If CRE is there, the CA have 20% weight and CRE has 10%weight. Rest 20, some subjects have Mid Term Examination and Some Subjects have project submission. Method of teaching includes daily lectures, seminars, presentations, teaching assignments to students etc. Teachers are showing good quality in their work. Overall experience in college is fun since have balanced time and importance allotted to both academics and non-academic works.

Fees and Scholarships

Course feel is around 180000 per annum (everything excluding food). Students having higher ranks in clat can apply for Aditya Birla Scholarship. Out of 10 applicants 2 or 3 usually get it every year. For some loans are needed and depending upon various policies providing educational loan for LLB changes. Visit nearest bank if it is needed.

Clubs and Associations

There is Committee for Academics, Cultural, Sports, Legal Aid etc. There is a society for Debate, quiz, on different topics such as a constitution, IPR trade etc, research, journals on all major law subjects and sports teams. There is also IDIA working on campus for helping weak students to pass clat. University have in Inter-University level a Sports fest(Yuvardha) and Arts (NH 65) one in every alternate year. University has inter-University moot court competition on antitrust. Inta University sports (Agon and Poltimore) and cultural week (Hues) is there with cricket league(NSL) and Football league (Lex La Liga). Also, there is an academic week (Light blub) in intra University and debate competition on an inter-University level. College life is very peaceful and happy if there is proper time management. There is only correct time for everything and no extra minutes. There is plenty of academic and nonacademic activities to be a part of

Entrance Exams & Admissions : So, I got into one of the prestigious law schools in India that is National Law University Jodhpur. I got into NLUJ through my merit in Clat 2020. The eligibility criteria is good marks in CLAT exam, and there's reservation too for SC/ST and PWD.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Getting admission into an NLU is not an easy task. You need to write the Common Law Admission Test that is CLAT for getting a seat in a law school. The eligibility for CLAT is that the student should have passed 12th class examinations from a recognized national board, with more than 45% (general) & 40% (reserved) There are 21 national law universities (19+NLU Delhi+ NLU Shimla), For securing a seat in the top 5 NLUs you need a rank below 500, with marks ranging from 130 to 145 depending on the level of paper.
