Placements and Internships

Many big firms come to the college for providing the internship. Many companies such as ShareKhan and others and many NGO also come to provide the internship. KPMG, EY, Deloitte are few of the main recruiters for the placement drive with approximately 300 students getting placed every year. The main areas of job profile are Management and Research, Auditing, Taxation, and Accounting. The Average package is around INR 4 lakh per annum. The famous alumni of our college include Siddharth Malhotra a popular Bollywood Actor, Shoojit Sarkar a Movie Directo, Gautam Rode a Television and Movie actor.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

There are no hostels available in the college. PGs and flats are available outside of the college but are costlier. The cost of PG outside the college is around INR 7000 for one bed. The food in the college is are average and are available at very low prices ranging from INR 10 to INR 60. The classrooms are good with many windows for good ventilation. Computer Labs are very good and the library are filled with all the quality books and latest newspapers. Wifi is also provided to the students. There is a separate Girl Common Room, Sports Building, Conference Room, Seminar Room, and Big Ground Area in the college.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The students have to clear their 12th for the admission in B.Com(Hons.). The students from Science, Commerce and Humanities stream can apply. The students are required to fill the form available on the Delhi University website for admission and take admissions as per the cutoff released by the respective colleges. Generally, the cutoff for this course lies between 90%-99% in DU for general category students.

Academics and Faculty

The classes are always on time starting from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm for different courses. All the University guidelines are followed for the marks distribution for projects, internals, presentation, and attendance. The exams are held in May and November for each semester. The teachers are highly qualified with a good experience in teaching. The teachers are very polite and understanding. The overall experience of the college is very good.

Fees and Scholarships

A very nominal amount of fees is charged from the students which are around INR 6500 to INR 8000 per year. Many scholarships are also available to the students who belong to lower income group and backward groups. Scholarship for Physically Challenged students is also available. Most of the students who qualify the eligible criteria get the scholarships.

Clubs and Associations

There are many societies in the college such as the Commerce Society, Economics Society, Finance and Investment Society, Internship Cell, Photography Society, Mathematics Society, Fine Arts Society, Placement Cell, NCC, NSS, Hindi Society, Dance Society, Entrepreneurship Cell among many others in the college. The main festivals of the college are Dastaan- The Annual Fest of the College, Uddyam- Commerce Society Fest, Vasundhra- Geography Society Fest, Economics Society Fest among the other which are very popular among students. The life in college is very good.

Placements & Internships : College placement is really good. Companies like KPMG, EY, Deloitte comes to our college for placements and the better chance of getting placed in a reputed company. Around 80% students got placed with average salary around INR 3 Lacs per year and roles for students as article associate, assistant manager, cabin crew, etc. Also,70-75% students got the internship with average stipend around Rs.4000 and the highest is Rs.20000.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : • The eligibility criteria for my course is on cut off basis. •For the admission to Delhi University, no entrance exam is needed except one and I took JET I.e joint entrance test. •The cut off for my course is mainly start with 98%.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Candidate must have passed the 12th from the recognized institute to get admission in this college. No separate entrance exam is conducted. Minimum 94% cutoff mark is required.
