Placement in Veltech University is decent, but it depends on the branch that you are opting. I have seen my friends from mechanical, civil, and aeronautical struggling. They had very few opportunities to get placed in core companies. However, I can't deny the fact that the majority of the companies that visited the campus was for use and IT. Though handful companies were good and for core developer role while the majority were tech supports. They had organised job fair once which was hopeless, 99 percent for tech support role. The highest package is 7,00000 and average package is 3,00000. Alumni network is very strong every year the alumn interactions are held to inform the current students about the outside knowledge they acquired.

VTU transcends the boundaries of time and location to provide perpetual learning environment for all. A premier institution that upholds an extremely modern and state-of-the-art infrastructure that goes a long way in facilitating impeccable services for their students as well as the staff members. The university offers Campus Security, Accommodation for staff and students, temples for worship, recreational meet –up points, Dining, Sports Facilities, Health Centres, Medical services, Library, Transportation etc.

Veltech Technical University (VTU) conducts university level Veltech Technical University EngineeringEntrance Exam (VTUEEE) for admissions in Chennai campus in different undergraduate engineering programmes. VTUEEE is conducted as both online and offline mode of exam. The cutoffs differ from year to year in order of the number of admission in the corresponding year.

Vel Tech offers academic programmes in Engineering and Management Studies. The schools facilitate the students with collaborative learning from their curricula with research projects. CDIO (Conceive Design Implement Operate) initiative is an innovative educational framework for producing the next generation of engineers.

Vel Tech is the first member from India to implement and practice CDIO methodology in its curriculum. The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) gives student’s flexibility to choose the subjects and the faculties under whose guidance they want to study.

Academic curricula are also taught by committed faculty, leading experts from Industries/Organizations and International faculty, which nurtures the students to become leaders for growth and change in the society.

The course fees differ from branch to branch.  My fees of CSE dept. at VelTech University, Chennai is INR 1,05,000 p.a.

The scholarship is available for the students on the basis of their aggregate obtained in PCM in 12th boards.

Generally, loans are not needed for admission as the fees are reasonable for the middle-class family, but if required it is available from any organized bank of India.

Students join clubs for various reasons, leading to a diverse pool. Most active club members generally consist of freshman and seniors, looking to find their respective niche in  dynamics. 

There are no extraordinary physical and mental requirements to join a club. All Clubs of the university do not require a membership fee. This openness allows greater opportunity for creating a tight-knit community within the club.

The fests occur at regular intervals and the exhibitions are held to encourage the students

The college life is awesome in general for the student's life.
