Placements and Internships
- Infosys is the only major key company that visits our campus SBSSTC. Others are small startups with very low package i.e. around 1.5 lakhs per annum.
- The average salary package offered by Infosys is 3.25 lakhs per annum. The selection rate is very low. From last batch 19 got placed out of 80 eligible students in Infosys.
- The alumni network is not existing at all.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Our college Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus have 5 hostels. The food and condition of hostels are satisfactory.
- Per semester charge for the hostel is 3800 per head excluding folding. The cost of the Mess bill comes around 2500 monthly (35 per meal).
- The quality of labs and classroom are not good enough, labs are outdated. Yes there is wifi but and speed is not good in our hostel.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- The eligibility criteria are to have a decent rank in JEE (mains). There was a counseling in which I opted for Computer Science branch and luckily I got it.
- There is no specific typical cutoff for getting Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur.
Academics and Faculty
- The daily routine is good in SBSSTC.
- But talking about academics, the quality of teaching is not up to the mark. Apart from few senior teachers others lack practical knowledge.
- The labs and systems are outdated.
- Overall it's not worth the money that I am spending.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is 48,000 per semester which is very high for a so-called government established college.
- Student aid fund is like a scholarship option given to all the students if their parents are having income less than 1 lakh per annum. Other state scholarships are also available but since I'm a general candidate it's not for me.
- Yes, loans are available only for the fee part in SBSSTC. The hostel and mess bill is not covered under 4 lakhs overall loan. I have taken my loan from Punjab National Bank @13.5 % which is quite high.
Clubs and Associations
- Every branch have their own student societies, for example, we are having the Compuware society. We organize coding competitions quizzes etc. Taking nominal charge of 10 to 20 rupees.
- The annual main festival on campus is Jashan it is quite good. We have sports meet every year in SBSSTC.
- Overall the life in the college is good for boys but girls suffer a lot because of hostel timings. After 6 pm they are not allowed to go outside their hostel.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admission procedure :- It's direct admission . My college Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, [SBSSTC] Ferozepur even takes 12th fail student for Bachelors course provided you clear it in your compartment test. Entrance examination(s) :- I took Jee Mains and Jee Advanced in 2013. Cutoffs :- There are not any so-called cutoffs for any course in my college.

Academics & Faculty : Class timing is 9:00am-5:00pm. Projects are not given to us. Assignments are compulsory for everyone. Campus is autonomous so exams are checked at campus and prepared in Camus also. Quality is not so good. Some of the teachers are very good so teaching is good but only for theory. Overall experience is average fee structure is very high and faculties are poor as compare to fees.other state quota is very much in our collage. difficulties arise due to difference in understanding's nature and language.
