Somak Mukherjee's Review on KIIT University, Bhubaneswar

• I have done industrial training in Kolkata. The campusing in college offers internships in various companies but the opportunities are mostly for computer science and information technology students. Mainly IT sector companies come for recruiting such as Deloitte Accenture Infosys cognizant IBM Wipro musigma.....and some core companies like shapoorji and Schneider as well as Microsoft and Dell... The average salary package is around 3.5 lpa...highest package as of now has been offered by Amazon at 15 lap

There are about 10 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels.

• The eligibility criteria were during admission process I.e. candidates must have 60 percent aggregate in maths physics chemistry together.
• There were no actual cutoffs as far as I'm aware,they will be shortlisting based on ur rank in the examination,the examination process is very easy and can be cracked with minimal preparation.

• The daily routine is as follows 6 hours daily from Monday to Saturday with a 1 hour break fir lunch after 3 hours in the day session and a 20 min break after 3 hours in the morning session...in the first year classes will be held from 8 to 2:20 with a 20 min break from 11 to 11:20 And the day batch will be from 11:20 to 18:20 with a hours gap from 2:20 to 3:20. From second year onwards it depends on the various departments on which time students will be called for class... Exams are held regularly in class in the form of the class test whose marks are very important and attendance is to be maintained at 75%. Mid-semester exams are held after 1.5 months of class and end semester exams are held after completion of the semester. The teaching staff is highly qualified and are available to clear doubts whenever a student requests so...the overall experience in the college is formidable.

• My course fee was around 12 lakhs over four years with Rs.2.2 LPA for tuition Rs.65000 for not ac hostel including food,if u need ac hostel then it's Rs.1.1 lap for 2 bedded rooms with attached toilets now the fees have increased dramatically and the fee structure is shown in the prospectus available on the website. Loans are available from most banks in the form of student loans. Generally, top 500 rankers get scholarship upon admission.

• Students societies are plenty on campus. The aeronautical society is present. Dance societies Music societies Quiz society Literary cell Entrepreneurship cell The main fest on campus is Kit fest which is the technical management fest on campus. The national level cultural fest is kritarchy.And some departments conduct their own fests College life is happening...there is a beautiful campus to roam around in the evening. There are plenty of food options available ranging from Street food to high-end restaurants all in the vicinity
