Placements and Internships

4.5

  • As I am a mechanical student, I have done 4 internships according to my branch in Mecon limited, Tata steel growth shop, HEC limited and SAIL (R&D) for knowing about the industries in a better way. But these are not compulsory, if you have done any training in your college life then it is ok. Apart from this, I have also done trainings in some CAD designing mechanical software like AUTOCAD, CATIA, CREO, ANSYS and 3D PLM. If you have interest on 2D and 3D modelling software and doing analysis after joining college, then try to learn these software because these are very useful software for mechanical students. You will learn software and do training according to your branch.
  • The campus placement of the college is excellent. More than 100 companies will come for campus for B.tech students. All types of companies like IT, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing and Sales come for hire. My suggestion is before choosing a college, must think about your future or career and if you want to build your bright future, than choose a college in which placements are excellent. Kiit University provides you lots of opportunities. According to my personal experience, there is no best branch, every branch is best. If you have talent than you are the best, I challenge that no one can beat you. So choose a branch according to your interest. Kiit University is one of the best college for placement in eastern zone. There are many famous companies come like Tata steel, Tata power, Microsoft, amazon, Samsung, dell and many more..
  • The average salary was approx. Rs 4.6 LPA, and highest salary was approx. Rs 32 LPA. last year and percentage of batch which gets placed are more than 92% and towards 100%. All these information you will see also in the site of Kiit University, www.kiit.ac.in.
  • You will connect the alumni in LinkedIn, fb and other social networking sites. They are working in good companies in a good positions, and they are very helpful. If you have any doubt, contact them for the information.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Hello friends, I am final year B.tech mechanical student and I am telling you about my college, which helps you more for choosing a college. First of all, you have to qualify entrance exam KIITEE which is conducted by KIIT University in April month and the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam is 60% overall in 12th. The application fee for the entrance exam is free of cost.
  • The test for the exam is online and there is no negative marking. The question paper is basically based on 11th and 12th basic questions. If you have basic concepts, you will definitely crack the exam. One more suggestion for you friends, try to solve those questions first in which you have 100% confident.
  • The cutoff is varied each year according to the question paper but try to solve more than 50% questions correctly for a better rank. The result is published on May month or First week of June after that admission procedure will be started according to the rank.

Academics and Faculty

4

There are 2-3 timings of classes. 7 am to 2 pm or 10 am to 6 pm excluding breaks. Academic routines are good. All the students are guided under a faculty, if you have any doubt or any personal problem, then they help you.

There are lots of opportunities for projects, if you are interested then you can join any types of projects like robotics, automobile etc. If you want to do project and if you have any idea, then almost every faculty help you.

Most important I like in this college is exam, you can see many other colleges which conduct exams but their exam timing is not fixed in starting of the semester, but Kiit University exams are fixed. For odd semester, in 1st week of September mid semester and between 15th Nov. to 30th Nov. end semester are conducted. And for even semester, in 1st week to Feb. mid semester and between 10th April to 30th April end semesters are conducted. Within 1 months your result will published and in between you can see your exams sheets by online. So, college maintains transparency about exams.

Most of the faculties are Doctorate degree. They are very helpful. They teach you in a most suitable method. They also show you some presentation for better understanding. The quality of teaching is overall good.

My overall experience in Kiit University is very good, this college provides all the facilities and well quality teaching. Most important thing which I like most is that in this college you are get connected to all the fields about your future like GATE, CAT coaching’s (if you plan for higher studies), Extra-curricular activities, sports.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • The course fee is approx. Rs 2.5 LPA for B.tech. You will see in college prospectus also. Fee structure will change after 2-3 years. So, I will suggest you please check college prospectus for better information. Apart from this, hostel fee+ food fee is 65000.
  • There are many types of scholarship options available to students. If you get top rank in KIITEE exam, you will get scholarship by the college. Also, If you are OBC, ST and SC student, then you will get scholarship by state gov. welfare department in which you belongs, only if your state gov. provides scholarships for students.
  • Very few students are get scholarship because this is only depends on your stare and category. If your state gov. provide scholarship, then you will definitely get this.
  • If I talk about loans, then It will totally depends upon your family. If your family afford Rs 12-13 lakh then It's OK, but those students who belong to middle class family, loans are required because college fee is little bit high as compared to other colleges. But if you want to take loan then you can easily availed by the bank. There are many banks come at the time of admission for those students who want to take loan. But I suggest you take loan from those banks in which interest rate is low. Most of the banks provide education loan at 13.5-14% interest rate, but some banks like bank of India, union bank of India in which interest rate is 12.5%. But, you may choose according to your interest.
