Placements and Internships
- Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, [SICSR] Pune does have internship in the last semester - 6 months. And, the stipend is around 15K - 25K.
- Ours is an IT institute. So, companies like - Cognizant, Capgemini, iBexy, HSBC and many more come to our college for internship and placement.
- Average salary is - Rs 6 lakhs p.a. Highest is Rs 8 - 9 lakhs p.a. Almost 90% of the batch gets placed in good companies.
- Alumni network is huge. We have alumni meet every year so that we make contacts and get the Business Card.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- 3 Hostels - 2 Girls and 1 Boys hostel are available at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, [SICSR] Pune. Hostel Fee is Rs. 1 lakh p.a.
- PGs are available outside the college. Cost would be around Rs 25000 as rent p.m. and rest is the expenses of the student.
- Food is ok. The cost of food is included in the Hostel Fees (Hostel + Mess). Mess fees is Rs 55000 p.a.
- Classrooms are air-conditioned. Labs are pretty big. The library is pretty good. Dining halls are very big. Wi-Fi is okay.
Academics and Faculty
- Class Timings at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, [SICSR] Pune are from 8 am to 6 pm. Every class will have assignment(s) as a part of class assessment.
- Different Methods of teaching are followed depending on the nature and requirement of the subject(s) - Black board teaching, PPTs, Case Studies, Projects, Student Presentations etc.
- Overall experience is pretty good, but sometimes, hectic.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, [SICSR] Pune is Semester wise. The total fee is Rs 7 lakhs per annum. In the first year, we have to pay Rs 4 lakhs per annum and the remaining in the next year.
- Scholarships are available based on the CGPA of the student. If he gets the highest GPA in a semester, then full amount of the first semester will be refunded back to him in the form of a cheque. Again, there are many more scholarships available for only girls, and at the university level too.
- Symbiosis fees is pretty high. So, loans are very much needed. They can be easily availed from Axis Bank.
Clubs and Associations
- Student clubs are formed at Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research, [SICSR] Pune in academics as well as cutural activities.
- Unify is our main cultural fest. GNUnify is a tech-fest. Chrysalis is an e-week program.
- Life is challenging, rushy and hectic but enjoyable.
