Placements and Internships

1.5

  • I've not done any internships yet. We really don't get any internships through college. It's an individual's interest to get an internship by himself if he really wants it.
  • This is a newly established college and no batches have passed out yet from the college. There were a few companies which recruited some of the students from senior batches.
  • We have no idea about their average annual salary figures. Very minute percentage of the outgoing batch got placed through campus placements.
  • No Alumni network!! The reason is no batch has yet passed out from our college.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2.5

  • There are 6 hostels for boys out of which just 2 are sufficient enough to fit in all the students who opted for staying in the campus. There are about 4 hostels for girls out of which only 1 is sufficient for the present population of students. The hostels just have basic facilities like it's 4-in-a-room and common bathroom facility and they do not cater much to the needs of an engineering student. Our college is in a rural village.
  • So, there are completely no options to stay outside the college. We just have a few general stores and a primary hospital nearby and nothing more than that. If you really want any options outside college, you need to travel for around 15 kilometers from the college where there is a small town where you can survive to some extent.
  • The food in the college is blah blah - I mean such worst food which you could have never even imagined to eat. The cost for food per day is 70 rupees.
  • Quality of Classrooms is just okay. We don't have projectors in the classes. It's just those traditional black board and the long wooden benches. Labs don't really exist, even if they do, they don't have all the equipment. Library is too small actually and has insufficient material. This is not a Wi-Fi powered college. There's no such facilities here and you don't get proper mobile network too here. Other infrastructure yet to be built. The college is completely under a very fast paced construction, so that's the reason why we don't have all the facilities but in a year or two, this would probably be the best university to choose in this state for sure.

Academics and Faculty

2

  • The daily routine is so boring that it cannot be described in words. The class timings run from 10A.M. to 4P.M. with a lunch break from 1P.M. to 2.P.M. There are no projects at all and yes, there are some exams in accordance with the university rules but there are no exams on weekends and all. We get a few assignments here.
  • The quality and method of teaching both are not at all good. There's no proper faculty, most of the faculty here is on contract basis.
  • The overall experience of the college is like a fish out of water for someone who expects much about this college and who cannot adjust to these countryside conditions. It's just the kind of an okay okay college.

Fees and Scholarships

3.5

  • The course fee is Rs 10,000 annaully as this is a government university.
  • Scholarships are available for the students who come from low income families. They are provided by the government of our state. Most of students here get scholarships.
  • An average of 80% of the students in the college get scholarships.
  • Loans are not really needed as the course fee itself is too less and that is fully waived off by the government for most of the students.
