Placements and Internships
I have done an internship on KLN motors on my interest and efforts.
The college offers decent placement, and the average package is around INR 3-4 LPA.
The alumni network is pretty strong, and they help us with placements and higher studies.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are separate hostel for boys and girls, and also first-year students have a separate block. The fees for hostel and mess comes around INR 50,000 per year.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
There is no specific entrance exam for admission into this college. I got admission through TNEA counselling, and the cut off required during my batch was around 160-180, but now it has dropped around 100-120 for all courses.
Academics and Faculty
The college timing is from 8.30 am to 4 pm.
The method of teaching is decent, and it depends on the faculty.
My overall experience is good.
Fees and Scholarships
Velammal Engineering College, [VEC] Chennai Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 80,000 per annum.
The college helps us to get a government scholarship which comes around INR 6,000 per year. Loans should be arranged on our own, and it is pretty easier.
Clubs and Associations
There are many club and associations like NCC, YRC, and professional membership like SAE, ENFUSE are encouraged.
