CSC Olympiad 2024: Login Portal, Exam Date, Registration Last Date, and More Details

CSC e-Governance Service India Limited authorities have scheduled thecompetitive exam on Jul 24, 2023 and Jul 25, 2023. The CSC Olympiad is part of the CSC e-Governance flagship program. The full form of the CSC is the Common Service Centre. It is a non-profit, publicly invested learning society set up in 2017 to provide professional learning for students of diverse backgrounds and educational needs.

CSC was introduced by the CEO of Common Service Centre SPV, Dr Dinesh Tyagi, on 1st May 2020. Students from classes 1 to 12 can participate and expand their horizons beyond their school books and curriculum. They can prepare for the CSC Olympiad in five languages: Hindi, English, Gujarati, Bengali, and Marathi. This initiative has been taken by the authorities to increase students' participation from small towns and villages through the CSC channel and VLE network.

CSC Olympiad 2024 Highlights

CSC Olympiad is grade agnostic and is aimed at identifying talent. It is conducted for classes 1 to 12 in core subjects to test fundamental competencies and concepts. Moreover, the foundational subjects in the entire school education are English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Sciences.

The full form of the CSC is the Common Service Centre. It is a government initiative under the Digital India scheme to encourage the competitive spirit among school students with the help of the Olympiad exam. CSC Olympiad 2024: About VLE

Under the CSC Olympiad, a village-level entrepreneur (VLE) is the person who connects all the digital schemes of the Indian government to the local people. India has a team of 2.5 lakh passionate VLEs who are constantly running CSC centres in rural areas. Interested candidates can register on the CSC official website to become a Village Level Entrepreneur.

The role of a VLE is to help students in rural areas throughout the CSC Olympiad registration process. They guide them from filling out the forms to downloading CSC olympiad results. The VLE spreads awareness about the CSC Olympiad test and also helps the students register for the Computer Science Olympiad exam.

CSC authorities conduct a total of 10 olympiads of various subjects for students from classes 1 to 12. CSC Olympiad 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The CSC Olympiad was designed to encourage students to study and make them aware of the Common Service Center. Students must qualify based on the following criteria to attempt the CSC Olympiad exam. 

• Students must be studying in a school affiliated with any Indian-recognized board like CBSE, ICSC, or state board
• Only the students from classes 1 to 12 can apply for the CSC Olympiad.
• The student must be an Indian Citizen.

CSC Olympiad 2024 Registration

The CSC Olympiad registration form is released on the official website every year. The CSC Olympiad comes under the digital scheme so the students cannot fill the CSC registration form offline. Note that, the students who want to participate in the CSC Olympiad Registration Process for the CSC Olympiad exam have the following two options.

CSC Direct Registration

To directly register for the Olympiad in Computer Science 2023, students must register as individuals without any other person's help from the CSC Olympiad's official website.

CSC Registration Through VLE

To directly register for the CSC Olympiad with the help of VLE, students must visit the CSC centres in their respective areas. They have to take all the necessary documents with them to the CSC centres to fill out the CSC Olympiad Online Application.
