About IRDA Exam
IRDA stands for the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India. IRDA was introduced in August 2000. It was established to develop the Insurance sector and provide financial support to the Indian household. IRDA is the supervisory body that regulates all the insurance companies in India, including both Life Insurances & General Insurances companies.
While monitoring all these activities, IRDA also observes and regulates the development of these industries. IRDA Exam is conducted to recruit Insurance agents for various insurance companies. IRDA exam is also known as Insurance Agent Exam or IC-38 exam.
Qualifying IRDA Exam 2024 will get an applicant a License of Insurance valid for 3 years. After the expiry of that license, that candidate will need to attend a 25-hour physical training course to extend it to 3 years. They will be issued a Renewal Certificate for it.

IRDA Exam 2024 Eligibility
Candidates who are applying for the IRDAI exam 2024 should check the eligibility criteria before registering. The educational qualification and age limit criteria to be eligible for the IRDA exam 2024 are given below.
IRDA Educational Qualification 2024
A candidate should have qualified 10+2 class in the case of urban areas. In the case of rural areas, the candidate's class 10th marks will be considered. Candidate has to be 10th class pass if he/she lives in a rural area with a population of less than 5000.
IRDA Age Limit 2024
- The candidate's age must be above 18 years.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for the IRDA exam 2024.
IRDA Reservation Criteria 2024
Candidates belonging to the reserved category have few relaxations in the upper age limit. The details are given below.

IRDA Exam 2024 Application Form
IRDA Exam registration 2024 Window will open soon. Before applying for the IRDA exam 2024, the interested candidate will have to get 50-hour training from a training institute that is IRDA approved to act as a Life or General Insurance agent.
The candidates who have to become Composite (Life & General) Insurance Agents have to complete 75 hours of training. Candidates will have to fill out the form for the IRDA exam 2024 with the correct details. After that, they will need to pay the registration IRDA exam fee.
IRDA Exam Fee Online Payment 2024
Candidates will have to pay the IRDA Exam fees of Rs 500 and Rs 500 Examination fees per subject. Candidates will need to type the unique registration number (URN) and then they will be redirected to the page on which they have to pay the IRDA exam fee via Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking.
More than 35 bank options will be present for the NSEIT online payment of the fee. Transaction fees and Service Tax will be applicable to the IRDA exam payment of fees as per the bank norms. After the IRDA exam payment is successfully done online, candidates will receive the IRDA exam 2024 schedule the next day.
IRDA Hall Ticket 2024
IRDA exam 2024 slot booking will open for candidates after the before-mentioned process. Candidates will have to download the admit card for the IRDA exam 2024 from the official website.
IRDA exam authority will not be sending the IRDA Hall Ticket 2024 to the candidates via post/courier. Hence, the candidates should download the IRDA exam admit card as long as there is a deadline to download that.
