Indian Coast Guard 2024 Recruitment
Two times a year, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) announces openings for the positions of Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch). An academic qualification in maths and physics from Class 12 is necessary for Navik General Duty. A Class 10 pass from an education board recognised by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) is the minimum educational requirement for the Navik Domestic Branch.
Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant 2024 Final Selection Board (FSB) for the 01/2024 batch will be conducted. The FSB will be conducted at the Coast Guard Selection Board (CGSB) in Noida. Candidates appearing for FSB are required to carry their admit cards with them. In this stage, candidates are subjected to a Psychological test, Group discussion/task and interview (Personality test). A board conference is held on the last day, and thereafter, the shortlisted candidates are sent for stage IV (Initial Medical Examination)
After PSB, the document verification process will be conducted for the qualified candidates. The candidates must make sure to upload all the required documents at the time of registration. The candidature will be cancelled if there is any discrepancy in the documents submitted by the candidate and a 'Rejection Slip' will be given to the candidate with the reason of rejection.
There will be photo and biometric verification for candidates who are appearing for the Stage II exam. The recorded biometrics and captured photo will then be verified with that of the Stage I exam. The candidature will be cancelled if the Stage II biometric details do not match that of Stage I. The biometrics are saved for future reference.

Age Limit
The Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Board has set a bar on recruitment. To be eligible, the age of the aspiring candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 22 years. Additionally, there are upper age relaxations based on specific categories i.e. 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
- For Navik (GD) and Yantrik, the candidate should be born between August 01, 1999, to July 31, 2003 (both dates inclusive).
- For Navik (DB), the candidate should be born between October 01, 1999, to September 30, 2003 (both dates
inclusive).
Note: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.
Educational Qualification
Candidates are considered eligible only if they fulfil the following educational qualifications
- For Navik (General Duty), all candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 including Physics and Maths subjects from a recognized institution.
- For Navik (General Duty), all candidates must have passed with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10 from a recognized institution.
- For Yantrik, the 10th class passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)
- For Assistant Commandant, all candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with 55% aggregate marks along with Maths & Physics in 10+2.
- A relaxation of 5% will be also offered for candidates achieving outstanding achievements in sports.
Nationality
The candidate must be an Indian to apply for the post of Navik, Assistant Commandant, and Yantrik at the Indian Coast Guard. The candidate applying for this exam must have a valid proof of Nationality.
Number of Attempts: The Indian Coast Guard has not set any specific restrictions on the number of exams that a candidate can take.

At INS Chilka, stage III's final medicals will be conducted. Stage III lasts for one to two days. The following phases are included in Stage III:
