HPPSC exam 2023 for Conductor, (Class III, Non-Gazetted) in HRTC under the Department of Transport will be conducted on Dec 10, 2023. HPPSC HPAS Main 2023 exam will start on Dec 13, 2023, and will end on Dec 19, 2023. HPPSC HPAS 2023 Main admit card was released on Nov 28, 2023.

On Dec 15, 2023, HPPSC HPAS Main exam 2022 will begin. HPPSC HPAS final exam will be held on Dec 22, 2023. HPPSC HPAS admit cards 2023 have been uploaded at hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc.

HPPSC admit card for the HPAS Main 2023 was announced by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission on Nov 28, 2023. Eligible applicants can obtain their HPAS hall tickets by visiting the official website at hppsc.hp.gov.in. HPPSC HPAS Main test will be held from Dec 13 to Dec 19, 2023.

About HPPSC HPAS

HPPSC HPAS exam conducts various recruitment exams for the state of Himachal Pradesh. The exams are conducted for Tier I to Tier IV for various posts, such as Assistant Professor, Director, Physiotherapist, and more. 

HPPSC HPAS 2023 Exam Centre

Candidates who clear the prelims round of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services examination will be allowed for the HPPSC HPAS 2023 Mains. The HPAS Mains examination part comprises six subjects that are mandatory, however, it offers two subjects as a choice for the candidates.

  • The optional subject has many options, such as- History, Pol. Science, Maths, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, Chemistry, Botany, Philosophy, Law, Sociology, Management, Geography, and others.
  • In order to proceed furthe with the copy evaluation, the candidates need to score the minimum marks.
  • The minimum marks required for the compulsory subjects, i.e., Hindi and English is 40%.
  •  The minimum marks required for the non-compulsory subjects is 45%.
  • The Hindi and English papers are just qualifying in nature.

HPPSC HPAS 2023 Viva Voice Exam Pattern

The Viva Voice/ Personality test section of the HPPSC HPAS 2023 examination is the final process. The candidates are shortlisted to attend the Viva Voice based on their scores in the HPAS Mains.

The interview is for a total of 150 marks. In order to successfully qualify the interview round, candidates must have a sound knowledge of Himachal Pradesh. Certain things such as folklore, dance, culture, languages, socio-economic and political condition of Himachal Pradesh must be at the tongue.

The final merit of the candidates shall be based on the Mains exam and interview.

HPPSC HPAS 2023 Mains Syllabus

The candidates who clear the HPPSC HPAS exam 2023 prelims will be allowed to attend the HPPSC HPAS 2023 Mains examination. The syllabus for the HPAS 2023 Mains examination are as follows:

English paper:

The English paper is evaluated on the basis of the candidate’s ability to understand and implement the language. The topics for the English paper include English Grammar, Usage and Vocabulary, English Composition Letter/Application/Report, Comprehension and Precis writing. Each of the topics mentioned above comprises 20 marks, totalling 100 marks for this paper.

Hindi paper:

The Hindi paper of the HPAS comprises Translation, Idioms and Composition, Explanation of Hindi language in prose and poems.

Essay paper:

Essay paper for the HPAS Mains comprises current affairs, socio-political and socio-economic issues, historical and cultural aspects and finally topics that are given to the candidates to test their ability of understanding issues and the way they express their views and opinions through Hindi and English. There will be two sections, A and B, and candidates must choose one essay from each section. In total, they will be writing 2 essays.
